Eight-time Academy Award®-winning composer Alan Menken provides the score, which includes new recordings of the original songs written by Menken and Oscar®-winning lyricists Howard Ashman and Tim Rice and includes two new songs written by Menken and lyrics by Oscar and Tony Award®-winning songwriters Benj Pasek and Justin Paul.

Just got out of the theatre! I had big expectations but this exceeded any expectation, it was sooo perfect, I was really amazed by the cast, the soundtrack, every scene, just WOW! And I really think this movie is made for a cinema experience, it might had lost some of its magic if I had seen it home on DVD.

What a charming and beautiful remake! Disney, I think the other remakes were bland but not this one! The musical score is impressive like "Lawrence of Arabia" perfect! Also, the actors were the best parts of this film because they captured the essence of their characters. Will Smith added his own spin to the genie which surprisingly surpassed my expectations. This movie is it's own thing, without copying the original animated film scene by scene.

People should definitely go watch this movie. It is scary how beautiful the film is. To watch the songs and character come to life gave me chills and brought back childhood. It wowed me away. Not to mention that the comical relief that the movie offer was also hysterical. Its a must-watch!

Такого полного провала от Диснея я не ожидал, я боялся идти, думал они запорят весь сюжет и всю ту атмосферу, которую создали мультфильмы про Аладдина, особенно первый полнометражный мульт, то был 100% шедевр на десятилетия, а может и на века, если Бог жизни даст, но всё равно пошёл, с дочкой старшей, она музыкант и большой поклонник музыкальной части мультфильма, то, что мы увидели, это закат творческой мысли, и даже присутствие Уила Смита не может вытянуть этот фильм даже на твёрдую тройку, денег поверьте не жалко, билеты были не дорогие, но такое разочарование от ожидаемого фильма я даже и не припомню. Теперь на Короля льва и Дамбо и Бемби ещё стрёмнее будет идти и детей вести, всё….

The best thing about this remake is that it's not competing with the original, which will always be the best. It appreciates and accepts this fact. Instead, it's more like a nod of respect, a tribute to the animated one.
