Known as the Siddis, their ancestors originated from the Great Lakes region before being captured and brought to India as Arab slaves. When slavery was outlawed in the 18th and 19th centuries, the Siddis feared persecution and retreated into the forests, where they have been living ever since. Today, the Siddi people are considered to be in the lowest bracket of the Hindu caste system—the Sudras, or the “untouchables.” In this short film by photographer and filmmaker Asha Stuart, get a rare look inside the Siddi tribal villages and explore the cultural diversity of this African-Diaspora community.

What struck me as bizarre in this film (which was fascinating) is that on one of the huts there was a satellite dish. This shows they must have connection with the rest of the world and what goes on out there. Yet the caste system is still there !! How can people remain so ignorant when the information to open their minds is at their fingertips and the screens for them to observe. I learn so much from the internet but it seems most people don't want to learn and adapt. Of course religion is the main culprit to keep people in the dark ages.
No one can understand, intill you understand the venom of the colonizers. Its every where even in the so called United stolen land States. Truth will always win over the wicked lies of colonist. Their descendants are still enjoying the spoils, enjoy while it last.

"They" call them siddhis and treat them as untouchables, by itself already shameful, will "they" ever wake up and have an open ear to these people non-dual spiritual knowledge

Some cultures and societies are best observed and enjoyed from a safe distance. India, with its myriad of complexities has got to be the number one Worst Nightmare Country to be hold up in for a prolonged period.
For all the talk of diversity and anti-racism in the UK…
The reality is that most racism goes between black and brown people. Usually Brown people being EXTREMELY racist towards black people.
Racism from whites toward anyone is unheard of. Though the British culture does not like Sharia culture… but this has nothing to dow with race, rather ideology that some choose to follow and subject their kids to.
The complaints from some communities about racism from whites whilst they get to Britain with these same caste system prejudices towards people darker than themselves is stunning to witness.
