You mentioned about adding your light in the direction of the natural light (to the left), why not place your light on the opposite side??? Would that not make for a great photo as well???
Please may I know why you're using a low aperture value (F4) here, I'm good with both the shutter speed and ISO but the aperture…? Don't you think (my own thoughts here) that there's that tendendency for some of the subjects to be out of focus?

Great advice! It looks me a couple years to get really comfortable with group shots (because they can be a little hectic) but these are all great tips! AND love the lighting on the last group demo!

The last tip about moving the light source while taking multiple shots was new to me and a great idea! Another tip I would add is to take a shot of the background and surroundings without anyone in the scene. This makes it easier to fill in background areas in Photoshop.
