Them inmates had nothing but time to figure this out. They worked out probably.
Plot twist. What if they never left the island. What if they hid on a boat and waited for it to leave for the main shore. What if maybe they paid off the guards who I highly doubt would’ve turned down a hearty amount of money and they took them off the island. They most likely got off of the island but what if it wasn’t in the way most people think.
My grandmother recently informed me that her cousin (whom she grew up with) moved out to California to work as an Alcatraz prison guard. She was so blase about it, too, lol

If you think about it. The best way to throw the searchers off would be to throw some stuff in the bay. Make em think they died. They made it. I believe that.
They all survived. Or just 2 of em. I'm not sure but, they survived.
West did all of this work, just to never escape. I kinda feel bad for him, like I know he was supposed to be in jail because he did wrong but I wish he could have escaped.
