    Notes and Corrections
    – The artist at 17:30 should be spelled Arno Minkkinen
    – The photo of Salvador Dalí was a collaboration with Philippe Halsman. There's a cool video about their relationship here: http://time.com/4429888/dali-atomicus/
    – Here's the Bill Cunningham movie trailer. Bill didn't make much money. He's so lovely and you should watch it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mkQklk_cfVs

I’m the documentary type. Candid type. Street type.

  3. I am 100% am the Creative. I shoot with an iPhone the majority of the time even though I have a Sony A6000 bc at the end of the day all I really care about is capturing/creating an image that I personally find visually interesting. I don’t care about rules, tools, or fooling with technical stuff. I LOVE the images I’ve got and I’m so glad no matter what anyone else says or does I stay true to what appeals to me and fulfill my need to create art.

Thanks for this pod cast. THANKS FOR ALL YOUR PODCASTS AND OTHER EPISODIC ENDEAVORS. Now I know who i am! I identify with all 'Photography style's' to some degree. Oh, BTW! I must be professional now. Yes, I sold a picture! It was one of my favorites. I called it 'Morning Hope'. Yes Sir, Yes Ma'am, Adobe credited me with $0.33 American. but? Rhetorically asking: Why do they take 67% and give out 33%?? I don't upload to them anymore. Further: They rejected some of my photos because of similar reps. I uploaded so the people could have a choice, not their ego of what is good practice and what is not as defined by adobe stock. RASPBERRIES TO YOU ADOBE!!! AND I don't use adobe products either. I hate greed more than any other evil there is. that is me.

Thank you for fair pricing practices and genuine love of Photography and loving the people. That is what Messiah Yeshua/Jesus commanded us to do. Love one another as you love yourself. Regardless your main motives, which are personal, you both love us and your giving of yourselves is your seal. I love the fact that you continue to love us. Thank YOU!

If you get this far, Tony and Chelsea: I love what you are doing for the people. My one request is to investigate other paid for software, others have designed for us, to edit our passions. I will point to one because I bought it.

Would you review it in trial as they have 3 products. The trial is fully functional at this time.

They are: Affinity Design, Affinity Photo, Affinity Publisher (free beta). All seem to be works in progress, but fully functional, as they build this competitive system to Photoshop, LR and ID I think it is.
    jus' me david.

  15. Sheryl Barrow says

It's good to know I'm not the only Methodologist out there. I have to make a focused effort to edit my photos, and then another one to share them. I guess I'm a Documenting Methodologist? Now if only I'd share more than 1-2 photos per 2-3 years of photography. 😉

  16. Michael Bryant says

I loved this video!!! alot of photos makes more sense to me now!!! also the Bill Cunningham Documentary was great.

  17. Raymond27 says

Soo Im a methodologist techie documentarist 🙂

  18. Erica says

I try to document my life and various things. The point is to document what things were like at the time, and trying to compose the photo and make things look good is typically contrary to that goal because it makes things look better than they were. People say that photography is an art but I look at it as a scanner, one that is ideally infinitely detailed and sharp, allowing me to go beyond pixel peeping. But I know a lot of people aren't like that.

Also when I look at my pictures I sometimes like to zoom in a lot to see the details in a large scene. I make demands of technology that aren't feasible today.

  19. taranicole says

I think I'm a techie documenter with a hint of creative because I like looking at ordinary things and seeing how I can approach it to make it an interesting composition! And I get a sense of joy from shooting in manual mode.

  20. yochoish says

this is probably the best channel regarding not photography but culture of photography. I mean seriously, it just opened up whole different news angles in photography. I am more of methologist in film and digital (doesn't matter which format); love to take the moment of my life, share with others and it is my joy. I still need to learn how to develop film and using enlarger but just could not find a hands on class to learn.

  21. cadillac crow says

hey tony how about you tell me what you think of my pictures i use viewbug.com just look for cadillac please let me know thank you!

  22. Jonathan Davies says

    Great video 🙂

  23. Stephen Bridgett says

I think I'm a techie coming from a techie background as well as a perfectionist. I have some great gear and seek perfection but I bought a Canon Powershot superzoom and am having fun just being the creator and not worrying about all the details. A bit of a documentor too as I shoot life around me during walks with my puppy. The Powershot has put some fun back into my photography. Good thing I don't have to buy film 🙂

  24. Straight Out of Camera says

THIS video is very useful. Now, one should also separate Photography (which is the in-camera exposure) from Digital Image Editing (which is the rest).

  25. jazzman says

I would say street photographers are in the creative category as well.

  26. OSAMA KHAN says

    im probably the techie one……….

  27. John Drummond says

Hell is being a creative/techie whose spouse wants him or her to be a documentist. So I'm told.

  28. M L says

I am definitely a creative photographer. This is helpful. You guys are helpful!
