Thanks for the tips, Nigel. ICM is becoming popular where I am and I really liked your suggestions!

  2. HiBros ASMR says

Thank you Artist! Great tips and pictures. With the movement looks like brush painted but very smooth and unique…

  3. Ardent Dfender says

Just a beginner amateur learning, however the tips and tricks in this video are just amazing, yet also so interesting. as well it also goes to show some the best picture shots just can’t be planned as the photo with man and dog emerging from the fog while you were taking the tree shot is just beautiful and capture at the right moment. Few seconds more and it wouldn’t be the same. Above all, I really learn from this video that it’s important to just have fun taking pictures and trying different things in taking pictures. Keep inspiring.

I've got to stop watching photography youtube channels. There are so many creative photographers out there (like Nigel) they make my images look trite and pathetic!

  5. dallasbear222 says

Articulate & inspirational as always. Nigel rocks.

  6. claudio mazzucchelli says

Watched a few very "loud" and supposedly inspiring videos but this one was actually what i was looking for. Great video

Good video Nigel, really interesting to see something a little different and thinking outside the box. I'm a new subscriber and enjoying your stuff, keep it up.

  10. Niklas says

Subscribed because of honesty in addition to great content in my opinion :). Everybody knows that you guys use affiliatelinks. I almost never hear someone say that. Thanks

  11. ZappaBlues says

I am definitely NOT a traditional landscape photography purist. I don't think I've used a tripod in decades. Arthritis in the knees limits the where and how far I can go. But I still find you videos and ideas inspiring.

  12. stephen kagan says

Very nice. You are painting with light.
I used to do this at night with the shutter on B with cars driving by and even driving through traffic and tunnels in Boston.
I'll try this in the forest and on the beech. Thanks.

  13. PAUL WAYMAN says

    Nice one Nigel.
I've never like ICM, but i really liked your work on the beach (horizon ICM). Gonna give it a go soon. Keep up the good work mate.

  14. Matthew Landon says

Nigel, I tried the tree trick but did my back in trying to pull it out the ground 🙁 brilliant video! I love those beach shots.

  19. John Greenwood says

Wonderful video, Nigel. The photograph of the trees in fog is superb. I would love to see a collaboration with you and Simon Baxter on woodlands. I think that would be outstanding. Thank you for sharing.

  20. Erich Stocker says

Loved the way the camera movement in the woods shot came out. Gave it a really abstract painting look. Thanks for the tips.

  21. M J Melneck says

Some of the best I seen so far. Everyone is doing this at the moment. You get a very similar effect in photoshop. But not as much fun. Love the guy in the fog great image. And what an end to the vlog holding out for next week now lol

  26. 6000coza says

Hi Nigel. Greetings from South Africa.

Some really good ideas here – thank you.

Just a question: how much editing was done on those ICM photos in the woods and on the beach, please?

  27. Alan Klughammer says

I have a whole album on my website with camera blur. http://alanklughammer.com/photography/albums/blur-series/
    I love the technique…

  28. Bernard Lim says

Like the tip of having a branch in front of the lens to give interest , thanks Nigel.

  29. Anthony Hedger says

Thanks Nigel, love the ICM, to me, it gives a feel of the subtle paintings you can buy at the seaside for an extortionate amount of money. Great video my friend. Tony

  30. David Burns says

Hi Nigel, Excellent ideas and exicution espically the costal beach shots, I have seen the technique used before in the vertical but not the horizontal plane. I’m normally trying to keep the camera still so this should be easy for me. Look forward to your videos each week and can’t wait for Iceland.

  31. Ed Robbins says

    Thanks….very comonsensical

  32. PGC Knaphill says

Love it. I've been to Winnat's Pass 3 times now, without exception there has been a howling gale driving rain and a thousand cars with their headlamps on…. not to mention the red & yellow cagoules and the yellow cyclists…. it is always a Sunday in November when I go…. I must try & make a deliberate visit for photography!! Great video, I loved your framed picture of your dog

  33. Paul G Johnson says

Enjoyed that Nigel. ICM is something I haven't done except by mistake. I think I'll give it a go. The coastal shots were brilliant. Thanks for sharing
