I'm surprised that nobody suggested using a tripod. A stable platform is important unless you are using a good lens with vibration control of some sort.

I have an old 500D and in most situations, it's still going strong. But I must admit that it doesn't do a good job shooting mutiple *.RAW shots! It simply writes to the card to slowly. What canon camara could I upgrade to? Suggestions?
Yet I can do this with my iPhone camera and photoshop ???
Only difference to camera is the optical zoom other than that I can do all of the pro crap on photoshop lol

A trick I learned from my father who was a news photographer, and owned a commercial studio was to talk to the subject. Get a conversation going and keep it up. He would be shooting ads and the client wanted smiling faces, so he would tell jokes as he shot. That way he got people laughing, not just smiling. Big difference.

Lol I honestly don't understand why someone would be afraid of RAW… When I heard about it my eyes got big and I went "YOU CAN DO WHAT?!" And I have N E V E R gone back!

need some help! really want to switch over from jpg format to raw, but I dont know how to change it in my settings. i’ve looked everywhere on how to do it but haven’t found anything. & i get scared i’ll screw up all the default custom settings

The problem with RAW format is that absolutely NOTHING uses it – I can't seem to find software that will work with it other than GIMP, and most people aren't going to have access to GIMP because it runs on linux.
