Muchas gracias!
Thank you so much. I was always wondering about this.
This is the best lighting video, simple and straight forward, thank you good Sir, you're the man.
Thank you! Super fun!
Excellent!
She is So Pretty ………
JP, hands down, this is the best video summarizing lighting and techniques!!! Your ability to explain as well as visually deliver these lighting concepts with great ease makes this enjoyable and most importantly easy to understand. FINALLY, I GET IT. THANK YOU!!!
Been there, done that, and presented it to the camera club on several occasions.
Going back to basics is important even for those who have experience.
Thank you and well done as usual.
best
This video is very very useful! Thank you so much! Awesome!!
Thanks!
thank you, Sir. Very informative. Now, let's try this out
I think you have made a mistake> A light over the top and a light undeneath is not called the butterfly light its called the clam . the light that comes from left and right side is the butterfly light style. As in nature a clam is top and bottom do you ever see one on its side, now the butterfly style is when the butterfly has its wings cloesd one on the left and one on the right . sorry to bring this up but your videos on youtube are one of the best that i follow and its not like you to make a simple mistake.
Great refresher! Thanks
JP YOU ARE MY HERO.
Excelente… bien ahí saludos.
Wow, that model is beautiful
Great intro and refresher!
Very informative. Thank you!
I just needed to do a quick lighting set up review and lo and behold here's one of the best commercial directors I've worked with giving me the tips. Thanks JP!
Great video.
dude, super sick video. great value and entertaining
You should take picture of each setup.
Amazing! Thanks for sharing!
Awesome 👏 video and very informative thank you 🙏
Thank you so much, 15 minutes that really shows anybody the 5 basic lighting positions, that will let them explore with the basic knowledge to build on. 🙂
Is the soft box the only light source you're using or is there natural or overhead light present?
i really enjoyed this video! thanks a lot! great teacher!
although I enjoyed taking pictures I've never really gotten into portrait. It kind of scared me. The little lighting demonstration, certainly made inroads into my desire to try a few portraits. I wish I had a copy of video I probably watch it over and over. We'll give it my best shot, Bob Quaranta, Long Island New York
Well done. I don't use lighting out of ignorance. But this video really got me rethinking. Learned a bunch. Excellent ideas, but more than that, excellent teaching style. Many thanks.
how do you actually fill it? Because in most instances you demonstrated, that filling plate would invade the shot (it must be much further away than you demonstrated in many cases). Ps: what is used as a fller? Simple paper?
