People needs to stop throwing stones. he is a true representative of Christ and his music is so real and transparent. When Christians are transparent and shows that they are human and they need Christ they get hate. But, then the church gets hate for being “fake” because they don’t talk about everyday life. While I can empathize with how Andy feels in this song, as a Christian artist, he has no excuse to cuss.
1: This song serves as a stumbling block to those who are trying to stop cussing.
2: No matter what emotion you feel or how deep it is, cursing does not help. It does not glorify God, and it is a blatant sin. Cursing is a lack of faith.
3: People are trying to justify his choice of words but in reality they cannot be. In the context he speaks in about his father, it is considered nothing more than an expletive that is crude and distasteful. This opens the door to more cussing in music that is supposed to be different from the world. Its Irony.
My disclaimer would be that we do not know Andy's heart and never will, but we can make a judgement on whether something is sin or not using God's inerrant word. None of my previous statements I can back up because we don't know what went on in his heart when he wrote this.
