WILDLIFE PHOTOGRAPHY can be frustrating – but also rewarding
Wildlife photography can be sometimes be really frustrating. But also extremely rewarding. I was going to photograph the dipper, but startet to rain a lot. Making me soaking wet. So I needed to give up. But the day after I was out to photograph the red squirrels again. But nature gave me a great surprise. The grey heron gave me a lot of great experience and great images. Hope you enjoy this video.

••• WHO I AM •••
My name is Trond Westby. I am a amature wildlife photography from Norway. My passion is to show the beauty of nature. Specially birds and wildlife. This has been my passion for 8 years now.
I am also having workshops here at home, selling pictures and having lectures.
Another great vlog Trond, great photos, an inspiration.
You are good photographer Trond. I really like your video
Here in the North West of England little egrets are now a common bird, it’s not usual to see 20 or so from the Eric Morecambe hide at Leighton Moss. It’s amazing how many variations there are of red squirrels, in Scotland, especially the north they are much redder with paler tails and in the Lake District their tails are darker. The one you were shooting had quite a grey body with very dark tails. I think grey herons are beautiful birds and incredibly effective predators. My wife cannot not watch any animal being hunted on TV, but she was totally enthralled when we once saw a heron catch and eat a rat.
You got some gorgeous images as always, and of course it was another brilliant video.
Wow
Beautiful.Trond…
Nice Photo’s, reminds me of the Blue Heron I photographed two days ago in Alberta CA. They sure pose for you.
When you're filming wildlife with a long lens do use a magnifying viewfinder to help focus?
•C'est une belle vidéo 🇫🇷🎥😉!

Nice job👍
Fantastiske bilder! Godt jobbet 🙂
Oh my goodness!!! this is a beautiful video! and THAT MUSIC!!! So Beautiful! I wish more photographers would use inspirational music with their videos, the music you chose for this was so beautiful!
Great stuff Trond, like you I love the peaceful hours I spend in my one-man hide somewhere quiet in nature making images!
beautiful images what hide is that?
its a grey heron. Not an egret.
Hello Trond, great Video. Which Hide do you use?
Your patience got rewarded Trond. The images were just beautiful. We have lots of blue herons overhere, but I never saw one catch a frog. Great you got that on camera. The images you shot are (as always) very beautiful.
Very nice Video! The footage of the Heron is amazing – especially as he caught the frog! Best regards Aiko
Awesome video 🙂 Really love herons – they look so ancient!
Just love your passion Trond
Love it! As I think I noticed others have mentioned, I would have called that a great blue heron. But, I am not a bird expert. Also, I'm in the USA. Some critters have slightly different names in different parts of the world. Speaking of which, I think I should follow some of you footsteps to spot those squirrels and birds! That is, in fact, my favorite bird but I can almost never get good photos of them because I have a hard time finding and getting close to them.
Graat videos and beautiful shots 👌
Hi Trond, Ya, you are so right, in that, we get so much more than just an image. “Many thanks for sharing” I am so happy to see your channel growing, as it is real, and true to who you are as a photographer. 🥃 😀 👍🏻
Hi Trond discovered you a week or so back and I have to say I love watching you. Subscribe and liked.
Another beautiful video and images again. Most inspiring 👍👍👍👍
Wonderful video, Beautiful Photos.
Funny how you can become attracted to a special bird. When I was young and foolish I shot a beautiful bird. The Phainopepla is a proud bird that is kind of special. It's diet is special. I always look for them.
Great video and pictures, I like the way you are working with you videos and pictures 👍😀 I try too do it it the same way when I am out in the nature (I am one only taking pictures 🙂). What is the name of the small photo hide you got ?
Stunning photography Trond, your work is a true inspiration to me. Thank you
