The Best Way to Watermark Your Images in Photoshop
With the rise of blogging and media sharing websites like Pinterest and Tumblr, it has become more and more important to protect your images. In this episode, we show you an easy way to watermark for photos!
How to Make a Custom Brush of Your Logo
First, place a black version of your logo onto a white background. This logo can be something professionally made, or your signature created using a tablet. Make sure your image size is relatively large, so you can scale it down rather than up and get the best image results. Five hundred to a thousand pixels large works great.
Then, go to ‘Edit – Define Brush Preset’ and name your brush. Your brush tool will now be in the shape of your logo. Go to your Preset Manager to adjust the order of your brushes and bring this custom brush up to the top of the list.
How to Adjust Your Brush to Add a Watermark
Use the brush tool to paint the logo onto your image. If you create a new layer first, you can transform the size and blending mode of the watermark after the fact. Overlay is a great mode for keeping it subtle.
Then, select a major color from your image and set the watermark to that color in order to further blend it with the image.

I just want to learn how to put my signature on a photo.
Could you please give an information about How to make brush smaller or bigger? This exact brush watermark that you showed here.
You have a very good explanation. However, it's not very good for beginners. First at 1:07 you started with something already there instead of showing how you get there. At the same time, you're giving too much information simultaneously. You're too excited and eager to show everything in a few minutes.
With deep respect, you are very knowledgeable, but please breath, you talk so much it is hard to keep focus on the information. yet, thank you for offering good information.
While I am thankful for the information, I feel like this video could have been done in 90 seconds.
Why are you yelling?
You make learning so easy!!!! Thank you so much!!!

Good job Brother helped me a lot
Finally someone to make it understandable for beginners! Thanks so much!
Do note, if you put your watermark into all the same color, that it can all be selected by color range, aka it'll take like a second for them to get rid of your watermark. The same thing for making it small, they can easily stamp it out. Although some might say that at least the stamping one requires a professional at that point or some advanced skill, that isn't the case. Sure it won't be the same exact image if they try to stamp it out, but pretty much anyone can do that. You just need to make it a challenge to the point that they either give up or realize they should just create their own assets if it's taking a long time to get rid of the watermark. One thing you can always do is to test it by exporting your image and then trying to get rid of your own watermark. If it's taking you a long time and/or the image will become too messy from all the stamping, you did a good job.
Other then that, ultimately just know that almost anyone who learns photoshop can remove your watermark, even if it'll take them as much or more time rather then making actual assets/photos (I say assets because I'm usually using Photoshop for games).
Amazing love you 😍

Okay, help! What did I do wrong? When I created the stamp and opened up a new image to test it the brush presses like multiple layers so it looks like a brush smear of my watermarked logo on top of each other? How do I fix this so when I just click the screen it will just show the watermark once?

I have a question, I got this watermark tutorial to work fine for me, but I recently bought a new signature watermark online that has a colored bird perched on my name. When I upload it this way the bird is not the color it is when I bought it which is a deep yellow color with black lettering. How do I fix this
