My gosh some great photo's here. The b&w really makes me focus. If they were in color it would be distracting to me.. This was a real treat.

what acros settings did you use on the photos

In my eyes one of the best films to promote the discreet Fujifilm cameras for candid photography.

so surprised that you don't usually use flash. It will take away all the hassles of trying to get the correct exposure, let alone the battery recharge issue and so practical to go around the wedding venue without flash.

Do you believe that the jps produced the ultimate photos for your style?. Or do you use jps for B&W because is more forgiven? As it would be easier and faster to work with two colors vs the entire color scale?thanksgreat work!!

Back in the film days I shot weddings Candid style. It was the term before Documentary style. People preferred it over posed shots. Candid got the spirit of the day.

You are such an inspiration, Kevin! I do follow your blog and own a XE2. I'm using the same settings as you described in one of the posts.

Couple of questions I have which you can help me with answers.
    Any advise on metering mode?
Your photos look so awesome and with a lot of character. How do you get that look?

Congratulations on your excellent work, I wondered how to achieve those tones in black and white. Greetings and please continue sharing your work.

Great work Kevin. I'm a street photographer and never considered wedding photography until i come across you. I love how you have a street style approach to a wedding and can see with this mindset how shooting a wedding can be fun. How do you avoid the poses group shots etc..? Do you ever have negative reaction from parents and grandparents on the day wanting some more traditional images?

I shoot with X100T and Xe2. Don't you use flash all throughout the ceremony and reception?

Thanks for sharing your settings on F16.click. I think I'm doing something wrong though because all of my pics look really dark compared to yours. The shadows or the darks are overly pronounced. Loved your photometry shortcut. Helps a lot. I'll keep at it. You inspired me to sell my Sony gear and go Fuji. I'm definitely more passionate about photography. I'm always shooting.

I've been using the X-Pro1 for reportage and street photography for over a year now. I've just ordered the X-Pro2 and decided to photograph weddings in the same photojournalism style I do all my photographs. Then a friend told me about you and now I feel like I'd be copying you, because what you're doing is exactly what I had in mind. Damn 😅

I am a black and white photographer too, i just switch from Sony to Fuji,, am so glad to see a Black and White Photographer survive like u because not many people these day like BW pictures

    Hi, Kevin.

I would imagine you're quite versed with the X-Pro2 by now… and, I"m sure you're pretty busy guy, but perhaps you might be able to help me answer a technical question I have with the X-Pro2?

I noticed something a little annoying about the X-Pro2 regarding deleting RAW + JPEG Files.

I have my dual card slot setup to be RAW/JPEG, meaning RAW gets recorded to Slot 1, JPEG gets recorded to Slot 2.
So, when I shoot RAW+JPEG, as I usually do, both RAW & JPEG get recorded corrected and into their respective slots, 1 & 2.

Now, when I go to playback the images I have taken and I see something I want to delete, I cannot delete both RAW & JPEG files at the same time?!.. unlike previous cameras where it will delete both files for you.
I'm usually set to review slot 1 with RAW file and I delete it.. but, the jpeg remains.. I have to actually switch to slot 2 and locate the same image and delete the jpeg like that.

one or two pics, provided they're not buried deep or scattered widely apart amongst a large number of photos you may have take, would still be a pain in the ass to delete both unwanted RAW & JPEG files.

Is there a work around this so the camera is intelligent enough to delete both RAW+JPEG files at the same time so I don't have to do double duty to clean up my sd cards?

If not, looks like this needs to be addressed for future firmware update ASAP!

    Thanks in advance.

i'm very happy for having found you in youtube. I've looking for a different kind of wedding photography and there you are!. I would like to ask you what about the batteries during a wedding with the X-Pro 2. I've read the specifications in the official web, and I dislike the official data about number of frames per battery. Could you tell anything about this issue? Thank you in advance.

  25. Emmet D says

one last thing kevin. Do you not worry about not having two SD card slots, ever had an issue? PS I realise the xpro2 does….

  26. Ken Drone and Camera says

Amazing work. You give me much to think about in regards to going fully mirrorless with the Fuji.

  27. Emmet D says

Hey matey, what flash do you use?

  28. Leica Jockey says

  30. Kobus Tollig says

Hi Kevin. I'm thinking of switching to Fuji. Wat worries me is that I see more Black and White photos from Fuji shooters than color. How is the color and how is the color in low light conditions? Thank you!

  31. frnkjones40 says

JPEGs are nice, but RAW is the way to go. Great images!
