Hey. I have done two weddings and will be doing my third next month. It’s not going to as stressful for it is my sisters. She is very low-key. I actually love doing weddings. It’s my favorite thing to do. I usually get them last minute but I am good with it usually unless it interferes with my part time job. This video is helping me. Thanks for the content .

Jason Lanier just I m enter in professional photography life within few days and I think to buy Sony model but I have questions about which crop sensor sony model is worthy for better low light performance than the canon or Nikon semi DSLR and finally I got u r wedding shoot with Sony a6500 so please share u r experience about camera output in low light or available light photography… I m not emphasis only on camera but 😂😂😂 i m Indian and some cheap people see Camera how much big and think Ridgid like big camera and big lens can only do better either r u not professional 😂😂😂 so just I wan to invest in second crop.sensor mirrorless camera which can do something more than the canon 60d….. Please don't ignore me…🤗

B&H or Adorama are not a drive away. So this wouldn't work!

The 80D has a bit higher pixal count but watching a few youtube videos after receiving your first comment… The difference as for what I can see is very minimal. Using a fast lens with a 1.4 aperture should make a difference as well.. With ALL due RESPECT, A person could chase the camera gear that rolls out of the manufacture tomorrow which will be better than the last product it closely resembled… This is the way "toy" manufactures want people to support them. The same goes for home theatre equipment…. 10 years ago, I was fortunate enough to by a high end manufactures brand (Denon) receiver that was 3rd from the top of their "professional" level of home theatre auto equipment. Today, it's not worth the card board box it comes with. IMO, this applies for everything we buy that has to do with electronics and I believe the DSLR – rather it be Nikon, Sigma, Pentax or Canon.

Love your videos, would love to do a workshop with you if only you where closer to my area. One day I would love to do weddings, but for now it's just portrait's for me. Thanks for sharing your work and talent.

I'm sure everyone could shoot a wedding with a A6300 if they had a team of people working for them, to hold all the lenses and lighting equipment!!, This isnt real life at all!… Next time try to cater to the adverage wedding shooter doing it alone!…

Thankyou for putting together, and posting this, Jason; it really shows people like me, that are just trying to start out on portrait/function work, exactly what can be achieved with "only" a crop-sensor camera (plus talent, knowledge and experience, obviously). Again, many thanks.

Jason, I am in a quandary. I really dont want to shell out the big bucks for the Sony A7riii, or any of the other A7 series. I have not used a mirrorless camera, but am really intrigued by them and want to get one. I shoot weddings and was wondering if you think buying the Sony A6500 to use with native full frame lenses will be more then sufficient for that type of photography. I saw what you did, but if you had to chose  a budget based mirrorless camera, would you suggest this one, or another, or not and why ?

Always more than enough quality with a crop sensor. Great video.

  18. Dan T Do says

Mr Jason, how about shooting events or weddings with a Sony A7S II and 70 200 F4 lens without speedlite flash? Since the A7S II is good with high ISO.
