These guys are kings and the record company wastes money on their videos. Could be better spent on showing more of the band and less bullshit.

  2. Michael Mills says

Miss this song. See I’m in in a full time band. On tour. We are the all singing / dancing crap of UNIVERSE

  3. RAJIV TEWARI says

He sounds a bit like Michael Stipe

  4. Tim Sears says

by the time the 90s rolled around I was already in my late 30s nearing 40….this song and a few others were pretty good…but to me 90s music was dismal for the most part…

  5. Surfs Up says

Been a fan since seeing them open for KISS during the Reunion tour. They were so good I went out the next day and bought this cd. They remain one of my favorite bands.

  6. Mike says

Best song on this album. 1 of best bands of 90s. No one played this song rather played out that depressing shitty Freshman song but this song and Drive You Mild got no air time along with Ominous Man. Smfh. Kind of ashame bc these dudes had a good sound. Check out a band called the Toadies. They kinda got the same rep

  7. Mike Butler says

Maybe my favorite song from the 90's

  8. Derrick Bullock says

I discovered these guys as they opened for KISS in 1996 & I actually bought the album at the show. I’ve loved it ever since & still do as I’m listening to it in 2019.

The most underrated song ever! Their best one…so deep and intense …everything about it is iconic and just another glorious level altogether.

the people behind the band are dancing obnoxious.

  14. Hillbilly Trump says

Sorry , I love it and I have for years. However it doesn't compare to "The Freshman,." Still great but not quite there.

  15. David Sherrick says

If you want beatiful.. I'm not in the picture!! lol! But this is my song .. because I'm in the photograph!

  16. VCR Time Machine says

Pretty sure the director told the extras in this video, "Stand behind the band and be annoying."

  17. Patrick94GSR says

lol this is like half the music videos made in the 90's. Hang up some sheets or other backdrops in a run down warehouse or other obscure location like a loading dock or out in the woods, and film the band pretending to play the song.

  18. Ola Mora says

If Taylor Hicks from American Idol and Jake Gyllenhaal had a baby, it would be this lead singer

  19. LGemini says

Came here because of the Drew and Mike Podcast. They reminded me how much I loved Verve Pipe!

  24. ja8ames says

I'm getting sick of Elle King commercials that I can't skip. I'm not into her music.
Sorry, just wanted to say that. Cheers to the Verve Pipe!

I was taking a shower after work and this song just piped into my head with the band name after like 7 years

  26. Barry Griffin says

    He is my hero!

  27. Barry Griffin says

Bryan is way to awesome. Gonna hire him to teach me to play the ukelele. Actually, just want to hear his life stories.

  28. ekjudo says

The blonde in the sweater and short black skirt. Such a quintessential 90s alternative girl look. The only thing that would set her look over the top would be a pair of Doc Martens.

  29. Craig Wreckless says

Love this whole album! What a great album! I can remember when it came out. Good memories 🤓

  30. Jessamine Thursday says

I was in kindergarten when this song came out, I remember listening to it then and I still listen to it now, why can't we have songs like this in 2018? The verve pipe represents what bands should be now.

  37. ahq1 says

    good song

  38. dlmx13 says

And yeah, also agree with whoever said Ominous Man is the best song on the album.

  39. dlmx13 says

This was the first TVP song I heard and it got me to buy the album (on cassette!), which rocked. A few months later I realized the only song they were known for was Freshman, and like most others in the comments I agree this one was way better.

  40. Sean Fleming says

Yo, the 90's were so amazing. This song takes me all the way back to "Freshman" year.

  41. tim sears says

not a huge fan of crash riding on the cymbals , but it fits well in this song…
