Buy Samsung Galaxy A50: | India: | Nepal:

Samsung Galaxy A50 is the least expensive phone in Nepal to feature triple rear cameras and an in-display fingerprint scanner. But what’s the price of the device, you may wonder. So I tried to list out the price of the device in various countries including Nepal.

Samsung Galaxy A50 Price in Nepal: NPR 33,490
Samsung Galaxy A50 Price in India: INR 19,990
Samsung Galaxy A50 Price in Bangladesh: TK 26,990
Samsung Galaxy A50 Price in Pakistan: PKR 51,999
Samsung Galaxy A50 Price in Philippines: PHP 17,990
Samsung Galaxy A50 Price internationally: $290 / €257 (Approx.)

As you’ve known the price, let head straight into the Samsung Galaxy A50 specs. The phone comes with a 6.4-inch display with a tiny notch on the top. Samsung likes to call it an “Infinity-U” display. But it does looks very similar with the Oppo’s and Vivo’s water drop and tear drop notches. Samsung Galaxy A50 display makes use of the Super AMOLED panel and comes with Full-HD+ resolution because of which, the contents on the screen looks all sharp and vivid. Apart from that, the A50 also comes with an in-display fingerprint scanner. But unlike the Samsung Galaxy S10 and S10 Plus, the scanner here is an optical one. So the Samsung Galaxy A50 in display fingerprint sensor is sluggish when used. It takes nearly around 1 second to unlock the device.

Talking about the performance, the handset flaunts Samsung’s Exynos 9610 chipset paired with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of onboard memory. The storage is also expandable up to 512GB making use of the dedicated SD card slot. With this setup, the performance of the device is really smooth. It is even better than the Snapdragon 660 and MediaTek Helio P70 chipset. On comparing Samsung Galaxy A50 vs Vivo V15 and Samsung Galaxy A50 Vs Realme 2 Pro, the Galaxy device outperformed the both. And here’s the Samsung Galaxy A50 benchmark score to prove the point.

Samsung Galaxy A50 AntuTu Benchmark (v7): 146360
GeekBench 4.3.2 (Single Core): 1719
GeekBench 4.3.2 (Multi Core): 5554
3D Mark (OpenGL ES 3.1): 1303
3D Mark (Vulkan): 1394
PC Mark (Work 2.0): 5576
Andro Bench (Sequential Read): 502.23 MB/s
Andro Bench (Sequential Write): 189.92 MB/s

Although the Galaxy A50 has got remarkable scores in the benchmarks, this 10nm chip falls short when compared with the 11nm Snapdragon 675 chipset. When we performed Samsung Galaxy A50 Vs Vivo V15 Pro and Samsung Galaxy A50 Vs Redmi Note 7 Pro, the A50 was lagging behind. Since my Samsung Galaxy A50 PUBG did not lag much on my Samsung Galaxy A50 gaming review, it does not matter much on the real-life use.

Now let’s talk about the camera. The phone comes with triple rear cameras, which is a combination of 25MP main shooter backed by an 8MP ultra-wide-angle shooter and a 5MP depth sensor. Three cameras at the back surely sound appealing; however, the sharpness from the device was that great to be excited about. Other than that, I found the device to be quite good while I performed Samsung Galaxy A50 Camera review. The colors look good and dynamic range was decent. And since the handset has three rear cameras, it offers better versatility than its competitors. Talking about the Samsung Galaxy A50 front camera, you get a 25MP selfie shooter resisting on the minuscule notch. The selfie camera captures some decent selfies. And despite having a single shooter, it is also capable of capturing portrait selfies. Since software comes into action while capturing portrait selfies, the edge detection is a hit or a miss.

On the audio front, the handset comes with a single bottom-firing speaker. Talking about the Samsung Galaxy A50 audio quality, the handset is not particularly impressive since the audio output starts to get shrill at higher volumes and the bass seems non-existent from the audio. However, you can listen to the audio via headphones at a better quality. The phone comes with an in-built Dolby Atmos mode which enhances the audio quality from the device while listening to the headphones.

In terms of battery, the phone is fueled by a quite sufficient 4000mAh battery. The device also comes with a fast charging adapter, which is rated at 15-watt. When I performed Samsung Galaxy A50 charging test, it took me around 1 hour and 48 minutes to get the device fully charged. As far as the Samsung Galaxy A50 battery life is concerned, the phone can last for more than a day on the normal use.

You actually think that phone has bright White's? If you keep the screen at twenty-five to thirty percent which is about what I keep on a few budget phones that I have for indoor use, such as the Moto G6 line for example. Try the test yourself then tell me that phone still has bright Whites, the A50 whites look like old newspaper compared to phone such as Moto G6! a good reviewer would pick up on something like that the first time they look at the whites on the screen. If you're going to blast a phone screen at 50% or better indoors then it would be understandable that you don't know what good whites are! Indoors, taking the A50 up to 30% and having the Moto g under 20% the difference is quite apparent! You are very cute though!

Love ur style of presentation, so focussed, light and delighting.
I need to ur opinion and guidance for changing my phone. I m using MI A2 lite 4/64GB but i m not satisfued with camera and reception signal. I wanto upgrading keeping in mind,
    1. 4000mah battery or more,
    2. 4GB/128BG
    3. Dual sim plus deicated memory card slot (or atleast an OTG support)
    4. A good processor which can handle PUBG in medium settings nicely.
    5. An average but fast camera, i just want the focus speed to b fast so as the capture the smile of my kids before the moment passes away n kid runs away which is frustrating.
Keeping these points in mind which phones do u recomend in 45k (Pakistani rupees) range.
I m considering samsung A50, oppo F11(128GB), huawei Y9(2019), Redmi note 7 pro(64GB), infinix note 5 pro, Realme 3, poco F1, and others phones too but i need ur expert opinion and guidance keeping in mind the bove mentioned requirements.. Thanx
