I picked up on both quite naturally. =) I feel like photography and graphic design is in my blood, but I fear their isn't enough money in it to have the lifestyle I enjoy having. So torn right now. =/
Agreed. Apart from removing obvious skin blemishes and zits, I guess its about knowing how to tweak the image just a little more to improve the result. Getting an eye for changes at this level does take time.
Like most things it knowing the tools you use and practice, practice, practice.

Photoshop CS5 seems to be the popular choice for post production. With portraiture I can see why it could be needed but with my other pics I like to do very little post production work. Conputer programs can make a great photo into an amazing photo but I like my pics to be as "real" as possible. Just knowing your camera and learning about photography is as far as I like to take it. Seeing how my shots look without post production is very rewarding. Karl is awesome…..taught me heaps!

the title says: Professional Photo Retouching Secrets…that is the title of the DVD….it's obviously misunderstandable but perfectly honest. if you think about it.
@quikhax if you're not interesting in taking the photos you need to find someone to edit for. i'm a photographer and personally i don't really want to do the editing part, i prefer to tell the stories and would rather have another touch them up for me to work together.
