This test was bogus. Either the Tammy wasn't focused correctly or there was some inherent problem with the lens. The Tammy is not this soft/blurry IRL. OR you had a bad test example, which is unfortunate.

What camouflage kit you guys wearing ? Any recommendation?

  4. fretless 5 says

The Sigma MC-11 has come a long way and works a lot better than it used to. As a Sony A7iii user who owns an MC-11, is it still worth considering the Canon 400 f5.6?

  5. Peggy Stevinson Bair says

You guys are really helpful. Truly appreciate your efforts and information.

Id love to know how you feel the Tamron 15-600 mk 2 (or G2) compares to the canon 400mm (as its supposedly substantially better than the mk 1)?

  11. PICSBYJLM says

I watched several other reviews of the Tamron and they managed to get really nice sharp pics of wildlife.

  12. Thanos Manolis says

Nice vid , whats the actual magnification on that lens?

  13. Gryff Longprong says

Soft light soft pictures GTFOOH again

  14. Gryff Longprong says

    Undisclosed location? GTFOOH

  15. Ryan Houde says

Is it possible that the Tamron was consistently more blurry because it’s heaviness made it harder to stabilize without a tripod?

  16. Kåre Tobiassen says

This review was not good. There are lots of review out there who really shows the capacity of this lens.

  17. AdamDguitars says

    Is this the G2 version?

Hi Guys, I am new to wildlife photography (and dyslexic which makes all the f/stop, ISO etc numbers scramble in my poor little brain) and looking to upgrade my nikon D5200 & Sigma 18-200 lens to catch birds in flight. I like the canon + 400 prime as it is light weight, but I am confused about prime lenses. I thought that they only focused at one focal lenght not more, but Chelsea's 400 prime was "sharp at 400/500/600mm"? Could you enlighten me please? May I alsobe rather heretic to throw the cat amongst the pigeons and ask about the new nikon P1000 bridge camera that you may have seen at Photokina for taking photos from long distances. Could you do a review on it for wildlife as I think you guys would get over the fact that you can take awesome photos of the moon rather quickly and give some good feed back for wildlife etc. Thank you from a fan out in the Aussie bush.

Air show is coming up in San diego Diego weekend. I'm using a Nikon D7200 and trying to figure out which lens to rent for it: this Tamaron 150-600 or the nikkor 200-500 ed f5.6?

  20. Justin Zaff says

Hi Tony , could the point be argued that the Canon 400 prime is sharper in some respect bc its been engineered to be sharp at only one focal length ? Would it be a fairer comparison to micro adjust the Tamron @ 400 and check if it makes a difference?

  21. In The Shed Bird Photography says

I have the Canon 400 mm prime and its amazing!

  22. Arijit Ghosh says

Can you please do a comparison of the nikon 200-500mm f/5.6E ED VR and the tamron SP 150-600mm Di VC USD G2 f/5.6-6.3 on nikon crop bodies?

  23. Khotta Bogard says

    – It's aa.. Big boy next to this 400mm tho
*amazonian inert genes kick in* YEAH

  24. Cornvelious Daniel says

its not a bad lens for the price

  25. Fred says

Is it safe to let this hang on the d750 using a neck strap connected to the body only?

  26. Colin Creevey says

Could you make a updated review of the Tamron 150-600mm G2? Really tempted to get it!!!

  27. kam joe says

Is it possible to hand held the lens for shooting for a period of time?
