Great video Kim! My special place is only 10 miles away and I've been doing that very thing for 24 years now.

Hey Kim, Just found your channel after a recommendation from David Dixon (https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCt73NxClcZdw5AXt1jtXQPA) and just wanted to say your channel is great and attitude is awesome too. Subscribed on the first video! Keep up the excellent work. The pep talk at the end, especially, was dead on. Very, very helpful and insightful!

Wise words and a sound message. The audio was absolutely fine, I would not have noticed, if you hadn't mention it. Thank you!…

Just discovered your channel, which was recommended by Thomas Heaton, and I really like what I've seen so far. Only 2 videos, but they're a very good first impression.
As for what you were saying at the end of your video, there's nowhere this close I feel this strongly about. Don't get me wrong, there are lots of places I like in and around Paris (where I live). But (one of) the place(s) I actually love is Finland. The whole country, really. I spent 4 years there, more than 10 years ago and try and go back as a tourist every year. I was there in September and haven't given up yet on the idea of being there again in early December, when they'll be celebrating the 100 anniversary of their independence. I've never seen Nuuksio national park (in the suburbs of Helsinki) in the winter and I'm sure that would be worth a trip. I know Ruissalo (in Turku, where I was living) is beautiful, covered in snow.
Thanks for what you've shared with us.

Nice video; audio was fine.  The place I go in nature is in the Louisiana Swamp, specifically the Pearl River Basin.  I go with my canoe and cameras, and there has never been a bad trip.  It's such an awesome place.  I love to go deep in the channels, away from the main river and people, going where there is nothing but peace and tranquility.

    Keep shooting!

  29. Irene Astorga says

Kim! I, too, am a fan of Tom Heaton. But I'm also YOUR fan because…well, you DO inspire me to get out there and enjoy nature. I always look forward to watching your YT videos. THANK YOU!!

Just stumbled across your video today and am so glad I did!
I doing more landscape photography as well and similarly I don't always get the portfolio-worthy shots every time I go out. But I never regret going out because I treat it like a (great) excuse to leave the desk and computer for at least an hour or two (and I say to myself, the more time I find to go out, the more practice I'll get and more chance of getting great shots). Thanks for a great video, you got yourself a new subscriber 🙂
