South Sudan’s long history of violence has resulted in huge numbers of internally displaced people. But one photographer has found a new way of highlighting the crisis. Al Jazeera caught up with her in New York where her work is on display.

Give someone a camera and drop them in a crisis zone and what do they do? Take pictures of shoes. Lol women!
I would worry about the soil. The shoes are unimportant. It looks that there has been no rain for a while. Water is life!
