Saravana Stores was founded by Shri shanmuga sundara nadar. His three sons are Yogarathinam, Rajaratnam, Selavarathnam.
Selavarathnam died in 2013. Another elder brother and partner Yogarathinam died on 3 September 2015.
Currently his elder brother Rajaratnam is managing the store. Selvarathinam’s son Saravana Arul now controls different shops. Saravan Arul uses “Selvarathinam” logo for the stores under his control.
Saravana Stores is a chain of retail stores, located in T Nagar, Purasawalkam, Chrompet and Padi, Chennai.
Main business is selling textiles, jewellery, vessels and large range of consumer products. It is one of the largest family owned business retail chain in India.

He is a Grate personality… and we always respect him. but we all had many bad experience at shops. Now mainly at Pari(near Anna nagar) they started New Furniture shop .but customer support very bad….I purchased One Sofa set , I spend around Rs.28,000 for that sofa. during the payment they said with in 2 days they will deliver with my customized design ( Sofa Colour,Design).but more than 4 days I have used to call them many times. last they brought sofa for delivery .first they delivered different color and different mode, which i never asked. First they inconvenienced to accept the wrong one. but I didn't accept. Again I was waiting 1 week to get the ordered model. but again my requested design they didn't to. I got sofa without one side-hand. they said they will come and fix the missing side-hand…I as trying last 3 days….now nobody picking the phone. Shop Manager and Sales Manager- both are simpley say "with in 5 minuts" they will come and fix.but now not picking the Phone. they show diffrent model in Shop but they deliver law quality model and unprofessional dealers. please dont spend money for furniture items.. they will not going to give you what you asked….
