I used to listen to this album when i was about 13. Today I remembered this album and damn, it's still awesome
i bought the album back then when it came out and i did not regret it at all. a really great album. it shows that bruce can do very well without maiden but i think maiden without bruce is not really maiden. i like all the songs on this album. i love the creativity and also the change of tones and of voice by bruce compared to the albums he made with maiden. all songs on this album are great. urizen is chilling. it starts very slow and then u can feel the power of bruce voice. bruce has always been better when is is on the high. lol!
AOB and this album are purely amazing. So heavy.
apart from being one of the best HM albums ever…i love how Bruce touched the plane of occultism and showed us some of the knowledge of alchemy, that he certainly has. he should've continued in this direction, but alas..
Darkest album he ever wrote…
After the 80s and the release of "Seventh Son", Maiden keep releasing the same record on and on and on. Even in the early albums some songs sound alike. Dickinson's solo albums show what Maiden could have been through the years. Especially with this amazing album.

This album beats everything I've heard in heavy metal. Iron Maiden is my favorite band ever and Bruce Dickinson is one of my alltime favorite singers, but this album alone as an independent entity is so dark, intriguing, heavy, melodic, well-written and overall extremely well thought-out and created that it even beats the best Maiden albums (which IMO are Somewhere In Time and Seventh Son).
Just wanted to get that out of my system. I will never, EVER, get tired of this album.

this shit is so heavy it bends space and time. and I thought accident of birth was heavy. this makes that sound like a sesame street soundtrack. Roy Z is a genius on production, not to mention guitar. listen to it on compact disc and prepare for your eardrums to bleed!!!!
