A initially learned photography as a kid shooting black & white then developing the photos in a dark room, that was a magical time and sparked my interest in photography. As I got older I dabbled in digital photography but wasn't until my kids were born that i really started to get an active interest back in it all.

its main camera 40 megapixel sensor and output 10 megapixel (jutst a software processing image)

Great in-depth feedback and stunning photos. I'm still looking at this as an option in the summer if the P30 is a crazy price on upgrade.

Great video. You should try the 9.0.0.163 version on p20 pro and compare it with mate 20 pro. With pie version p20 picture quality improved dramatically

I could not understand if on this device as on my LG G6 you could take full control over the camera to adjust manually the shutter speed and iso and white balance as it's very good to do it on my LG G6 to take long pause pictures from the stars at night for example…
Is it also possible to take this kind of manual control for video as it is possible on the LG V40 ?

Great video! Couple of questions if you have time please. On opening the camera in photo mode I find the image tends to be fairly dark until I tap the screen and it brightens right up. Is this normal? Also get the message "sharpening your photo please keep your device steady" after many of my shots despite holding the phone v steady to start with. Is that usual with this phone?

Heard that Update 9.0.0.146 disables 4k jelly effect while walking and brings more customisation to Always on Display. Can you tell and confirm them please ?

Mate, thank you for helping me understand the camera settings of my new Mate 20 Pro even better! It clarified a lot for me and made me understand better how to use the different settings, but even more important, when to let the AI do it's thing. I have one question though; when I toggle on the ultra-wide lens, a lot of stuff that is detailed at a 1x zoom becomes very blurry on the 0.6 x zoom. Can you maybe explain to me why stuff gets so much more blurry?
Great vid in general, maybe some fine-tweaking of the editing to make it even more viewing-friendly (for example, the transition at 23:28). Keep it up!
