Surprisingly from the pictures of people in these old photographs, life must have been extremely hard as no one ever smiles
Great pics! Looking at those layers of heavy, often woolen, garments and considering what was the norm back then for bathing regularly and deodorant, there musta been some real B.O., LOL.
I wonder what things will look like in another 150 to 200 years from today?

Rare photos; beautiful early examples of the artistry that went into composing, and technically creating these works. Thank you to whoever put this together providing detailed captions for all the photos that described time and place. Nothing worse than un-captioned historic photos that allow the people and places to be lost to future knowledge.

Watching all these videos really brings home the fact of how insignificant we are
Nobody ever smiled back then? even when having a portrait done . must have been a horrible life.
Would u be able to live then? No indoor plumbing, deodorant or medicine that really worked, and opium, alcohol and who n

Album of forgotten memories..
O night, the desperate prisoner
How long have you stood on your blindfold?
Do not see me, O night"؟
I am afraid to lighten your chest and your conscience
And escape from the prisons of your silence
I took my dream horse and ran away with him
Where colored butterflies
And where the wheat and wings affectionate

Wow. No vehicular traffic back then. Those ladies' hairstyles were so unflattering during that time period. But that bride photo was magnificent though.
