What camera bag is that ? 🙂

I've never managed to reach that 29min limit.
I'm mostly hired to shoot on a glidecam, and usually there's other shooters. but even when shooting on a tripod i've never had an issue with it. I would generally only shoot weddings with 2+ cameras anyways, and i don't use cameras that have overheating issues. (5D + NEX-6 as backup + other shooters)

How do you deal with the continuous recording length on the 5d. Especially during the cermony. Do you lose footage because its longer than 29 min. Or does it only lose like a few seconds?

  4. Nitsan Simantov says

not really, i would just stick with the 16-35

Dear nitsan…I have a 15mm 2.8 canon fish eye, 24 mm 1.4 canon, 16-35 2.8 canon, 50 mm1.4, 85 mm 1.2 canon and so on…. But is the 14mm samyang better for video in indoor places? Thank you …. :O)

    then i'm shit-outa-luck. haha
Even if i wanted to take lights i wouldn't have time to set them up, we were running around the whole day. In most wedding locations i prefer not to use lights anyways.

the zoom is cheaper and lighter, both work well for me. 🙂 I don't even use it much since i do lots of stuff with no audio. You could do the same with the zoom and a splitter, just no individual control of levels for the mics.

i use nikon just because of preference, price, etc. you can get adapters pretty much anywhere. google/ebay/etc

    Nice Job.
Just curious, you use a zoom. I use a beachteck directly to my camera. I use a rode video mic on the right channel and a lav on the left. Is there an advantage of using a zoom, or is it just personal preference.? also why do you use Nikon lenses on the cannon. Where would I be able to get a nikon to cannon adapter. ? thanks Cheers?

Great Video Nitsan! I do Syrian Weddings of similar epic lengths 🙂 I actually use in-ear headphones as earplugs. They also double up for monitoring (one less thing to pack:) Battery tip: mark your batteries 1,2,3… that way you know which one you have already used, starting with no 1.

    :O
Nigerian wedding.. Careful with all that equipment, I don't think it's too safe to have such expensive equipment in Nigeria :S

Both with a cloth you ain't going to make it. No blowthingy or a smalle (pen)brush? That's what I use…
