Now for the video..a camera phone can NEVER replace a smartphone…raw hardware power will always win…
Software wise, Google has no competition when it comes to HDR processing… Read a comment about Open Camera, I've used it for years, used it lately with my Note 9 and now with my pixel 3xl, it's a next level thing on the pixel…
Lastly, what beginner DSLR and lense would you recommend me to get? I like taking nature orientated pics….😀

11:42 The external light that you used is the reason why the photo looks oversharpened.
If you re portrait at f1.4 you should be shooting in portrait mode.
I think every companies should have to have their own camera hardware i mean is chip or work with the chip maker to improve their product

I agree with your external storage point, taking videos @4k is using a lot of storage (obviously) and really is a dealbreaker sometimes…BUT, that's why there is google photos, which lets you upload your pictures AND videos in full resolution (as you sort of mentioned in your video) and I personally think that this is a really great solution because not only does it save all your photos taken by camera but also all your screenshots, WhatsApp images you get sent by your friends, literally any folder that includes images can be uploaded and saved online…and if you sum that up, that's a lot of storage that you don't have to bother with, since it's not using any [storage] on your phone. (I think removing the SD card slot(s) on any phone is just to make them thinner and more lightweight but that's just an assumption :D)..besides that, great video, great review, great channel, keep up the good work!
i don't have Pixel phone i have a Asus Zenfone 5z luckily camera2API enabled in this phone so i can use Gcam and it's awesome!

Pixel camera is really sick!!
For mainstream user, taking pictures with phone (Google Pixel series or another phone with G Cam) is more than enough (just for social media consumption). 😁
But for professional photographer DSLR or Mirrorless Camera is still the choice (cause the lot of information about pictures for editing).
For me (IMO), the different types, mainstream user and photographer is not about the "quality of pictures" but "the feels/art of the pictures"
Photographer can take a picture looks dramatically or cinematic, is not about the hardware/phone or real Camera, but the art of pictures. Who's behind the Gun?
Of course, photographer can get dramatically pictures using the Phone camera like @Tristan .
Sorry, It's just my opinion, I'm not photographer, but I'm usually discussed with my friend (he is professional photographer).
