Lightroom 5 is not detecting my Nikon D7100. I updated the firmware and cleared the storage card. Does anyone know anything else I can do to correct this issue?

I've always thought that tethered shooting meant that your computer acts as a huge Live View. Turns out it's only good for image review, etc. In other words, it's impossible to see a live image on your computer before the actual capture, before pressing the shutter. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

  28. Graham Hanson says

If your camera is not detected in Lightroom you will need to 'Enable' it in the 'Plugin Manager'. >File >Plug-in Manager (or 'Ctrl' + 'shift' + 'Alt' + ',' [control + shift + alt + comma]) Make sure the plugin for your camera is 'installed and running' (green dot if enabled and running, white dot if disabled); you have a choice of Canon, Leica or Nikon Tether Plugins.
