I liked the concept of this series, but looking at the execution and results, they are just shit cameras. It's not like vintage film. No asthetic, just terrible cheap quality all around. Instead, give a digital photographer a film camera with a broken evf or exposure meter. Then we get to maybe watch some skill and learn from it.

I like the whole idea behind the series. Focus on skill, not the gear. But I have to say that these photos were rather ordinary, tourist-like almost.

If the characteristics (flaws) of the cheap camera are so dominate that everything that comes out of it is viewed as "art," then who needs the photographer? Perhaps the "good" camera better exposes the current limits of the photographer and the areas in which she/he needs to work more, and thus is a better teaching tool. ???
