Hi there and thanks for the video… You also have to consider that some of us owns 2 cameras and having them with grips for 10 hours coverage it's not that easy buddy…. I worked with some wedding photographers and they are saying the same thing…… if you actually want to look more professional than uncle Bob or cousin Jane you have to show them you know what you are doing not by having tons of equipment….

Like the 50mm f/1.8? There are plenty of decent, cheap lenses out there. Personally, APS-C cameras just don't cut it for me in terms of image quality. But everyone's different. Some people need the 8 fps burst or the focus tracking. I'm a bit more old-school.

    eBay — 5D mark 1. Full frame and around £400. Better photos than a 7D or T2i.

Grips are made by cam model, you'll find grips that'll fit two of them, like close to each other in release, i would asume that Canon 5D mark II and mark III share the grip; but this is rather rare. FYI. Most probably by now you already know, but still 🙂

  25. Andrew Hind says

Great advice here and really well presented.

Question for you or anyone else I am shooting a engagement session tomorrow and I was just wondering how many photos I should take and how many locations I should take the couple to as well

  28. Chris Aikin Photography says

Good job man. Thanks for sharing your experience. Most photographers are snobs and think that "rookies" should not give advice, but I say more power to you bro. Keep up the great work 🙂

For a beginner like yourself, I would suggest a Nikon d3100 or 3200. They are very well priced, they are totally capable and have a very user friendly interface which includes an on board guide for novice photographers.
