  2. Nicholas Green says

Glad you had fun painting from imagination, please do more of this!

  3. Stephen Gremillion says

I love your videos. And have learned a lot from you. I think since you do not want it connected to any time or anything, you should focus on making his/her surroundings really pop and beautiful. So in other word's the world around him/her is full of beauty and wonder but they choose their image over amazement.

  4. Monsef Alhddad says

BORODANTE the best artist for me … I mean I can't watch his full video.. and I can still have fun watching…… please keep the good work.. From Libya 🇱🇾

  5. Majxra says

The torn legs made me think of another thing connected to this unhealthy obsession with judging oneself. "Broken legs but I chase perfection." That's what it made me think of. It's a line from the song Mansion by NF feat. Fleurie.

  6. Pinz Art says

    a few ideas!
1: a planet falling appart like a puzzle implying he could be fixing the world
2: just make his space cluttered and chaotic, meaning its whole existance is in ruin while focused on something like this
3: some forms of food, meaning that they are ignoring sustaining themselves
Glad to see some art from you again! 😀

  7. Kingfu conan says

    amazing!

  8. n1941 says

How about very dusty materials in the background? Abandoned brushes and pencils or broken instruments, mossy tables or overgrowned furniture. Like he's in a broken down place and the shiny reflective stones ( which represented public opinions i think?) became his primary focus instead of his art or whatever form of art he was doing?
Don't know if I'm making sense here

  9. TheLateLateLateShow says

Boro, mass produce your tripod stand, would buy

  10. Proximo K says

If you buy a some legs you'll be able to do plein air painting. I suggest photography tripods that use mid spreaders.

  12. Nick Hartin says

Maybe he could be polishing the rocks into beautiful stones or something like that maybe one or two completed ones and a couple incomplete rocks that progressively look worse

  13. Joe Buchan says

how do you come up with such ideas? Do you take inspiration from philosophy?

EDIT: Also how'd you come up with environments for your characters to live in?

  14. Helga Moon says

Thank you for keeping creating. This was exactly what i should hear and see right know.

  15. AlitCalbmi says

He could be drawing or painting, its timeless. 😉

  16. zookeeper02 says

    Hi Dante. Nice work!
I think; if the composition is not going to feature conventional tools, like a hammer, you need to imply a broken sequence, something that reads as unfinished and waiting for interaction. like maybe some shapes that fit together like puzzle pieces but is strewn about neglected.

  17. Elchinodiabolero says

Idea for a feature for your app, just a funny little thing to promote creativity: How about every week or so the app gives you a palette of colours, like a sugestion near the color picking tool, that could help people start a painting! And maybe if you make the drawing then the app gives you the opportunity to tweet it @ing you or something like that… I dunno, just giving ideas to improve the app.

  18. KODA says

With so many arms, he could be a sculptor, with an unfinished sculpture between his legs. The yellow in your painting could be the clay he gathered, and he could have clay on his hands and around his wounds, to show what he is doing instead of continuing his work.

  19. penter says

I like that the color picker can be in the canvas now, thanks boro. I’m really enjoying the app so far

  20. RJ4Y says

You're sO CREATIVE I love your art!

  21. Diego Cuela says

An indian art style can work for the face, you know, because Shiva, looks great so far

  22. Jeffrey Koenig says

Thank you for your very good observations about human nature. I’m now trying to drop some of those mirrors. When the sun comes out, they only cause severe burns anyway. Keep up the art education and philosophizing, I find them both very interesting.

  23. Nicholas Knight says

Hey Boro, love the channel and what you're working on now!
Also, I like samju's idea of using others in the background who aren't self-harming to show the benfitial alternative, but working with what you already have: making the mirrors he is holding clearly match the missing pieces from his body (something like a jigsaw puzzle, maybe) seems like a strong way to increase the clarity of your message, perhaps also making those broken parts/mirrors be areas people typically don't like in themselves (but this could also deviate from your idea and start to reflect the things we can't change, as opposed to those we can).
To further emphasize the detrimental nature of his actions, maybe the rock rubble he is sitting near is the broken corpses of others who self-harmed.

  24. Prezes2607 says

Awesome art, fantastic design and idea for painting. Great depth. That last touch of broken skin on the legs for mirrors is brilliant. I like the flow. Insane job.

  25. Prezes2607 says

Hi, Borodante. Have you seen new Gomez Addams from Addams family (2019)? He's looking so similar to your character from "Old Artwork Overpaint – Full Drawing Tutorial". He is looking very similar on image where he's hugging Morticia. Have you done something with that movie?

  26. erdnussfarmer says

these things in his hands could be mirrors or picrures of something that is better than him. Like an artist who draws really good and you compare your drawings with his and you are just dissapointed on your self 🙂
Maybe that situation happened to often to me…?

  27. Vern Hestand says

So you're an "Apple artist" now. I miss when you were just "an artist". I've learned so much from you, Boro, and enjoyed your media so much. Im also a Patreon. I actually prefer the old format and frequency of your videos. Not to be critical, but to offer some community feedback of someone who doesn't pay attention as faithfully as I used to because the content and release of new videos has gone downhill somewhat. Even if you quit tomorrow, your legacy to the online community has already been intensely valuable, but I'de hate to see your momentum fade.

  28. Ehsan Hooman says

Maybe you could add these towers that represents what the character is good at crumbling and instead of building them back up again he is just looking at his mistakes BTW can this programme u created be realesed on android too I really need a good painting programme

  29. Chiby Versity says

now im interested in craft pro. i think u should do some collaboration with other youtuber artist to share their idea about the craft pro. in my opinion u probably should add more editing tool within this app (selecting, ruler, liner, blur etc). i really like this picture idea actually and thinking a bit of lore behind this creature. Maybe it could be somekind of curse or desease for someone that doing this "over self-evaluating" behavior. maybe add a group of person looking at this giant (this curse turn people into a gloomy pink giant). well thats my idea (LOL).

  30. PANBU says

He has a brocken face and has a pice of his face as a mirror pice in hand

  31. Ai CopyCat says

    So, basically:
-Do the background roughly with multiple values for non-monotony
-Choose character colours based on background
    -Choose light source(s)
-Draw one mid-tone character with slight opacity changes based on the brush
-Sketch above the drawing more specifics
-Add further mid-tone for the specified character design,
-Add one value of light and darkness each
-Add different, weaker, light and deeper darkness/shadow
    -Simultaneously, develop background further
    -Add/define details
    -And blend
-Define more critical details like the face
-Add "last minute" conceptual stuff like broken legs

[I always had the trouble of painting with "too small strokes", using a bunch of colours from the beginning, the same brush for everything, and not knowing what I want.
All that combined, sadly, always leads to a dishevelled, boring, and way-to-long-taking picture.

I am assuming that I am just painting like a beginner and am too lazy to look up tutorials on my program, Krita, so, I just tried to understand your painting style fast.]

  32. Nadinne Neira says

Finally painting! also the app is looking AWESOME!. For the painting I think maybe add some crystals? like this character has all this valuable stuff all around but still not pay attention to them?

  33. Kian F says

    does the duckface

  34. Hades Olympian says

hi boro! rly like having you and your art back uwu
i tought abt maybe adding simple tools or even simple toys (like a ball or a book.. or even like dead flower maybe?) around the figure, to show that they just dropped sth fun and cheerful, just to freeze in the moment and "critizice" themselves 🤔
interested in how it will turn out

  35. 13hailing says

Glad you're painting again boro! As someone who tends to get uptight and easily frustrated about my own art it's so cool to see someone who has a more relaxed attitude about creating. I'v noticed that about you since I started watching your vids in 2016 and it's one of the things that keeps watching. It's something I try to emulate.

  36. Fapio III says

looking good Boro, but I don't like the rotation of the head though. Should be pointing more downward.

  37. Boro, the work you do is so AWESOME : the app (wish i could have an ipad >~<), the concept of this painting. Man… So inspiring!
About the painting, maybe make his mouth open and hollow? in pair with the hollow eyes it will convey the feeling of hungerthirst that can't be filled.
    Love your art!

about your app, i tough about simmetry, wich is a big function in procreate for me it's a big thing

  41. jojo maron says

He can be painting the rocks arouns him or organizing them instead of looking at himself in the mirrors.

  42. Pixel Senpai says

Hi Boro. Is there a way to change the opacity on the panels so you can see the image more easily when you make the panels visible?

  43. no name says

you could add a lake in the bottom where he's reflected doing something useful instead of holding mirrors

  44. demonyes chaos theory says

    A mirror whit a knife as a handle .
Or you replace the morror whit a knife .
Or why not broken glass as a self reflection

  45. crow says

Borodante: artist, software programmer, tablet stand inventor, inspirational speaker. What can’t you do !?

  46. Проста Витя says

Boro you can add unsolved rubics cubes thrown in different spots

  47. c a says

How about some pot plants that must be tended to because they are dying? So he is not only neglecting and being destructive to himself but to things around him.

  48. Joshua Stanley says
