***OVERVIEW***

Have you been booked to shoot a wedding but you’re not sure how to pose your couple? While you might have a few wedding photography poses up your sleeve, it’s easy to get stuck for inspiration when you’re in the moment.

This is a common concern with wedding photographers who are just starting out, so in this video, I’m going to share with you some of my favorite photography poses for bride and groom portraits.

We’ll look at two different weddings in different settings and styles, then critically analyze the poses used to create a variety of portraits.

By following the flow of the couple portraits in chronological order, you’ll be able to see how I maintained a natural progression of photos during both first looks and pre-ceremony portrait sessions.

What is this practice called? Chain posing? Posing sets? I'm just trying to find more videos on how to flow from pose to pose.

What lenses are you using ? Are you using 35 mm for wide sweeping shots from above and in front of the Church . Or just the 70-200 mm

The photos of them posing on the stairs while you shoot from above. just beneath them are bags of laundry I would guess, Green and white. why wouldn't you edit that out or get in tighter. what good is it to have a great wide shoot and have garbage in the photo for a wedding, street sure I can see taking the shoot but for a wedding it just seems not thought out.

Excellent video. Thank you for the insights. I especially liked your suggestion about utilizing the same pose from different angles and perspectives with minor adjustments to the hands, face, etc. . I will definitely incorporate this in my next couples pose.
