Great stuff. The passed out soldier brings back a lot of memories from when I played in parades and at special memorials in all kinds of weather. The queen of England loves to ride horses and I am told at least used to really enjoy the regimental inspection. Thing is, there are tricks to standing at strict attention. You have to make sure the strap of your hat is up on your chin not down to your neck, or your mouth can’t make enough saliva.Truly severe dry mouth can be quite painful to some, and it does make a few people drop! Next you have to keep your head tilted just slightly down, it helps the body stay flat on the pads of your feet and you don’t get dizzy. Don’t tie your shoes too tight! It can make your knees buckle. But I think this ole boy is flat on his back because he did the worst thing of all, between seventy five and ninety % of all people will fall backward and pass out flat if they lock their knees! I kid you not! I did a two hour funeral parade followed by getting on a hot bus followed by playing for a half hour and standing at attention for nearly four hours with my alto sax, where you have to keep both hands in place on the horn in white gloves, all in one day in ninety degree heat.Out of 126 musicians and honor guardsmen I believe fourteen people dropped, but you have to forgive the tuba player at least, right. All this in black wool uniforms!

With most of the captions running along the bottom photos, when I pause the video to read the caption a line runs through, and I can't read the caption. Either way, I can't enjoy the photos or the captions. I am an old man, so I'm quite interested in the old photos.

Sorry, you are wrong about the date on the Freedom Train. It traveled across the country in 1976, not 1946.

Unlike the other commentators here I enjoy more the written narrative then an audial one. The reason being is that I'm deaf and the auto subtitles are usually bollocks on YT uploads. Saying that, dates would be good!

Hard to believe how far we have come in computers.

I would agree with earlier comments and others I have read on some of your other videos. it would be great to hear you do the voice over on the content rather than have to read the discription. It takes so much time away from really looking deep into a photo, but more important your voice is angelic and beautiful very much like yourself.

  25. Nate Mars says

You should narrate. Your accent is so cool!!
