Couldn't agree more 🙂 Over the time i have learned to take advantage from it. I let them fight over who's going to take the most beautiful snapshot with their compacts.. So while the couple is posing for them i can take some very interesting shoots 🙂

Shooting in bright sun sometimes we need the flash as a fill light. But like i said previously , what he does has nothing to do with fill flash.

i am using eos 50 d with 17:85 usm, and 50 mm 1.8f i hardly use flash cuz what available light provide result flash cannot u guys can see my work on Facebook its Sunny Gill Photography

15 years of wedding photography.. to much and direct flashing for my taste. I am a 40D owner myself. I turn on the flash only when iso 1600 can't provide me enough light. NOISE isn't the enemy ! Noise can be artistic if you know how to take advantage of it.

hello may i know what lens did you used with your canon 40D camera for wedding in this video?

  6. SJHFoto says

Very good! I'm surprised he doesn't bounce the flash more though. I still use a 40d for my weddings-and we think alike! I use the Tamron 10-24mm lens quite a bit for the wider shots. Mated with my 50mm f/1.4 & 100mm f/2 it's my trio i use 85% of the time! Great stuff!

@rookierok Dat's definitely no L lens……………..but I'm not dat's smth to worry about , it all comes down to atmosphere of the moment not the equipment used 🙂

What I hate when I shoot wedding are amateur photographers – I mean guests with compact cameras, they ruining when wedding copuple poses. Photography looses then integrity, when people runnin into images with nonwedthings – pink cameras…or so…And especialy I dont like when people not acutaly needed in image are shown there and dont respect instructions of photographer…even theyre shadows can make some good shots looking like crap.

" Direct flash? I'm disappointed in Canon allowing a photographer that can't light properly be representing you as a company. Take this crap down plz."

your"lame" direct lowered flash light is in photographers world known as "pulling the shutter" (or similar in english, sorry if i wrongly translate that term) and its allowing him to expose background and freeze movement.

his work is professional, your comment is not.

  17. GbOverAb says

Many professionals use 40D's. What would you rather see? An Ansel Adams composition or some laywer's insipid macro photography done with a 5D mkII and a $2000 zoom lens?

  18. GbOverAb says

His work is professional. Of course un-sharpened, high res, raw images wont blow you away in a low res youtube video… Are you bitter amateurs really saying the couple is going to be unhappy with these pictures?

  19. Redfield Media says

You must be looking at a different 46sec. The profile shot pointing to the left, after the guy grins – that's a 5D, and the shot after, pointing to the right, that's a 40D

  20. hungryhippos says

Personally the only reason why I would opt for the 40D is only because it shoots faster and has a high flash sync speed compared to the 5D otherwise he would have been happier with the 5D, smoother images, slightly better dynamic range, faster focusing and full frame. What kills me is his n00b lighting. Direct flash? I'm disappointed in Canon allowing a photographer that can't light properly be representing you as a company. Take this crap down plz.

  21. hungryhippos says

its a 40D @ 46-47. you can see lines on a pop up flash and the 5D has more of a rounded top for the viewfinder. and its a 580 ex(ii) not 530, there are 430's

  22. Future Flynn says

the video is better than the pictures….

  23. germandude1982 says

1:28 that picture sucks ass! i actually got goosebumps seeing it!….

  24. Redfield Media says

    he's right – at 46-47 sec, it's a 5D, and then the next clip it's a 40D

  25. mikeyruggerboy says

At :49 it's a 40D – it has the 40D layout (unless the 5D is the same?) – the lenses do change quite a bit throughout in this, though it's not always clear if it is the 40D throughout – or they're telling porkies!

Hmmm, pictures aren't that good, a 40D is just an expensive consumer-grade camera, and he's using sigma lenses…he has nothing to offer me

Great videos and great photos! And its the man (or woman) behind the camera that makes the pictures not the camera. Maybe more grain or less depth of field, but what is shown here is beautiful.Belissima! (i owe a 40D too and will be shooting my first wedding this week *yikes*)

  41. widdlwichard says
