The radius value 24 of high pass filter didn't work for me on my 24MP-12.8MB image. I reduced radius to around 7 & it worked fine. Does this happen due to resolution or is there some other reason behind it? Also,Thanks a lot for all the tutorials, really more helpful in practice compared to most well known channels,recommending it to the community around 🙂

I used to work as a professional retoucher in the fashion industry.
There is no action or trick or plugin that will automatically smooth skin and do it right. There just isn't. There are a few things that can help with blotchiness if used very sparingly, but 90% of it is still best done by hand.
Besides the healing brush / clone stamp I mostly use a 50% grey layer set to soft light. Brush black in it to darken, or white to lighten. Best for subtle use, like anything else. Make sure you work in separate layers and switch back to check if you haven't gone too far.
