A initially learned photography as a kid shooting black & white then developing the photos in a dark room, that was a magical time and sparked my interest in photography. As I got older I dabbled in digital photography but wasn't until my kids were born that i really started to get an active interest back in it all.
I hate the fact that you need extra surface space for the lamps. You can't put the studio on a stool. They really should have designed this with clippable lamps.
Your video helped me a lot!! in the other side of the world, I bought the exactly same kit and i put it upside down, so silly Now i can do it right. Kisses from Chile
I bought one of these a few days ago, before finding this video. I'm happy to hear that it's actually a good buy I'm getting into the commission painting business, so I really need to be able to take good pictures Keep up the good work!
Try using booth upside down so you still get diffusion on sides but so you get rim of light on top. Sounds odd but if you have top light at 45 degree behind model you will get nice separation and definition from background.
Your minis on your channel look stunning and can't wait to see more. Regarding google plus sure I will at some stage even though I hate putting my ugly mug on google plus lol
Thats great advice with the link for Maplin never knew that thank you. I agree on the lamps and they get bloody hot as well almost burnt my fingers trying to adjust the lens angle after it being on for 10 minutes lol.
Thanks for sharing, really helpful could use this for photos of my statues that I plan on selling in the near future.
$ 16.48 now.
