Walk Through a Wedding is a year long video series in which we get to follow wedding photographers Justin & Mary as they set out to capture a young couple’s most special day.

The series consists of 20 videos, each one revealing the story and the lighting setup behind a certain image. For instance, we get to see how the bridal couple’s dance was shot and how the kiss in the church was eternalized. Twice a month, a new video in the series is released.

Well I can understand using this flash on outside when you can't find electric source very geniuos but come on you can use monolights at building very well, nonsense video marketing.

Love how everyone thinks they can do everything better.  Personally I would rather come to the game prepared than show up flapping like a storm flag  in a hurricane  but that is my soldier mentality.

The lamp growing out the back of her head at 1:18 is iconic?

Why not simply use the window light that you would have had from the same direction from the window you block with the curtains.

  8. You can do better than this with window light and the most important for free !!!

How did they get the shallow depth of field using flash?  Hypersync speeds?

    Beautydish with a diffuser = circular softbox…
As you say, it's hard and takes time to place the beam of the bare beautydish… with the diffuser on, it's just a circular plane. If you want a soft round light to copy a circular catch light in the eyes, that's ok, but you are not using it as what a beautydish is meant to be used…

OK video. I can take away using a beauty dish mounted with a speed light. Using a ~$2,500 lighting for bride/groom portraits is overkill.
