Jason, I have a question about your opinion, it's valuable to me. I own the
Sony A7ii and bought recently the Tamron 28-75. My second choice
naturally would be the soooo expensive Sony 70-200 GM 2.8. Would you
recommend me to buy the 70-200 2.8 or the Sony 85 1.4 GM instead for 80%
    weddings / 20 % portraits?

  3. Biceps&Bikinis says

Great video! A quick question for you: What lens would give the most bokeh: the 70-200 at 200 or the 85mm wide open?

  4. Eminence FrontX5 says

Hi Jason, recently I'll have some corporate dinner job to shoot, will the FE28mm 2.0 good enough, considering the location was indoor and perhaps there will be low light situation there, and I didn't want to bring the flash because they said it will disturb them. I need your opinion, thanks Jason

  6. Garry Burgess says

i don't even know the Sony system, but I knew that you were going to pull out a 24-70mm 2.8 first.

Hey, quick question just got the Sony A7RIII I take children’s
Photography so I need to buy a few lenses that that have good bokeh, amazing sharpness and also good at taking group photos and also quick as children are always on the move, what lenses would you recommend?

  9. Magic Memories Cine & Photo says

Hi Jason. Loving your work and useful videos. Recently got a sony A7iii camera for video use. Can u recommend a AF lens to use for video mainly using on gimbal (zhyuin carne 2) was looking at the new tamron 28-75 f2.8, but slighly put off by the auto focus issues.. any suggestions will be much appriciated.

  13. Mackenzie Donahue says

I had a question.if you could only bring 2 of the lenses you have to a wedding solely for the purpose of photography not videography, to be used with a sony camera of your choosing what would that camera and those lenses be? Thanks in advance for any light you shed on this

  14. Kerry Langdon Down says

Hey mate, thinking of doing the swap to Sony from Canon. Not sure if I’ll go the A7RII or A7RIII yet (difference in money vs extras) thought? Also I know you need native lenses to get best results for nailing sharp photos at low apertures. What would you recommend is the top 3 sharpest best lens for nailing low aperture focus regardless of price.. thanks mate

  15. Lane McCall says

Don't worry Jason, even I don't know the correct way to pronounce bokeh haha! Great video with awesome insight!

  16. StrandskovMedia says

Why do people use digital zoom? Isent it just the same as zooming/scaling up in post? I dont get it..

  17. 梁东杰 says

    看得出这是相当不错的视频,可惜听不懂

  18. D Stone says

Quick question Have you shot with the 70-200 F4? if so if you had to repurchase the 2.8 or F4 which would you purchase since you have the 85 1.4 which is already great for portraits and has the distance and compression?  Im trying to figure if i should just save my money and get the F4 but I hate buying twice I've lost a lot of money doing that.

  19. Kingmon Creative says

    4 cameras whyyy

  20. Молекула 221 says

Can you.. I SERIOUS… Can you shoot entire wedding on phone some sort?

  21. Gavin Purse says

Bro! Looking at at the a7rii gonna be moving over from canon so any idea for best adaptor and gonna be using them for weddings video and photo looking to get two to replace the 5d iii any words of wisdom would be awesome

  22. Brett Harris says

You have too much money, every lens you got is a must have. Wished i had them all, and i don't do weddings.

  23. ll2nycell says

I own a a7r2 and 3 gh4 cameras. the a7sii washes thst color out terribly when you crank that iso too much. after 16k , you're just shooting in terrible light and thsts if you got a 1.4-1.8 aperture lens

What do you use for ring shots?

  26. Richard Allen says

Jason, awesome job & super helpful vid! Quick question:

I have the A7SII so low light is not an issue. If only choosing 2-3 lenses for starting out, which would you pick for wedding videography – I want the very best glass.

I just got the 24-70 GM & 35 f1.4. BUT I can return either. I know there are big arguments about prime vs zoom, and the Sony clear zoom function doesn't make that any easier. Versatility is great and very convenient especially in the crazy run and gun wedding situations, BUT I also love the look of being able to get extreme dof & great bokeh. What are your thoughts? Eventually, I would like to have all of these, but below are the choices I'm considering, but I only want to start with 2-3 max. Again, only video work:

    16-35 F2.8
    24-70 F2.8
    35 F1.4
    50 F1.4
    85 F1.4

Thank you in advance for any insight you can provide!

  27. Chelle says

    sony color is so ugly.

  28. Jesse H says

Are you in SD? The shot at 2:04 looks like SD

  29. rigrx says

Is the 70-200 f/2.8 GM really that bad as lensrentals say? How is the AF? Any initial thoughts on this lens?

  30. Mike Gomez says

    Hey Jason,

If you would recommend 3 lenses for the Sony a6300, what would they be? Landscape, portrait and wedding photography.

  31. Jonathon Aiello says
