A initially learned photography as a kid shooting black & white then developing the photos in a dark room, that was a magical time and sparked my interest in photography. As I got older I dabbled in digital photography but wasn't until my kids were born that i really started to get an active interest back in it all.

Her face seems to be a bit out-of-focus, am I correct? You have brought out a lot of points that will improve my efforts at Senior Portraits.
This was actually my photo. Joe confused me with his friend Carol. Stephanie (the girl in the pic) was only 15 at the time. The tree was beside her home. She wanted some pics of her and her sister to give to her mom on Mother's day. Needless to say, she had one happy mom on Mother's day.
I love that pose I am alway trying to get.my clients to do that too
There is no mention of where the hair-light behind her came from or how unevenly the background has been rendered out of focus in photoshop and not with the lens selection. BTW, is that a friendship bracelet and not a "hair band' on her wrist?
I got as far as 4:15 cant believe it took that long.
Guys basic stuff but voices in the dark… its like between you two and not the viewer.
Zzzzz
2 poses…wow
you have to work with your client too, she may have wanted the band in the shot.
WHY didn't anyone mention or photoshop out the hair band on her wrist??? Hello? Cropping was the only improvement? C'mon!
personal perspective….1st composition was alright already…..
Good critique. Not very concise but good info.
I turned it off after 1:30….
