I want to provide some commentary on landscape photography so you’ll have a little context for tomorrow’s Artist Series video on David Brookover.
Landscape photography is probably the longest running genre in the canon of photography. Being a landscape photographer usually means drawing instant comparisons to Ansel Adams or Michael Kenna.
David Brookover is a very unique landscape photographer in his choice of medium and printing techniques. This will be a very unique artist series video from a truly inspiring photographer.

I am a big fan of what you are doing. But…this is today and as a landscape photographer… full on digital and the rest it's time to review somebody…"anybody"…that is working with modern tools. And no, that doesn't mean that it is less than. Sure, much of it is hokey, but not all. Surely there is someone out there to recognize…it is the future, or will be, C.

What I loved about the Iturbide video is, that her photography comes from within. – This video here is mainly about the technical aspects. There is somehow less soul and more 'pretty' in his photographs. He is a completely different kind of photographer.

One of my favourite photographers (The very photographer that got me interested in photography as at artform) was an English photographer called John Davies. He was a landscape photographer that focused on the true British landscape. His pictures are very true representations of Great Britain. most of his pictures have a clearly defined juxtaposition between the industrial landscape and the natural landscape.
