Recorded Webinar on Senior Portraits

On May 21, Profoto and photographer Jared Platt did a live webinar on how to shoot senior portraits (and how to make the best use of one flash on location.)

Those of you who do not live in the US might wonder what a senior portrait is. Well, it is simply a portrait taken of a student at the beginning of his or hers senior year of high school.

Did you miss it? No worries. The webinar was recorded and is now available as a video.

Edit out the long intro when posting to regular YouTube. One loses many potential Youtube views when you dont jump right in to content, even though its technically possible to easily fast forward. People dont want to be bothered.

    sorry to say,
your photo quality (including sharpness & composition) is not good enough.

Profoto bring back Mark for quality product (video).

This seems like more of an ad for profotos lighting system than actually teaching you about how to do senior photos.

Very wordy… needless info… skip to 7:00 to cut some of the nonsense. It wouldn't surprise me if this guy was related to Mark Wallace.

  15. Question: What if i one my subject (portrait) and my background in focus, what would my setting be and what will my focus distance be, etc? Thanks ! When i try doing it at 70mm i have to chose either or.

Are you using an ND Filter on your lens?  Seems like 1/160 @ f/2.8 should be over exposed but your images are not.

    Excellent presentation. Very informative.

Liked the way you bragged about your City Skyline with four high-risers  though..
