A short time ago, I was on an amazing adventure in chilly Alberta with my good friend James Relf Dyer, and we went on a quick road trip from Jasper to Banff. Along the way, we had the opportunity to take a helicopter ride, snowboard, and even try a bit of dogsledding – a great way to take advantage of my outdoor surroundings and record a quick tutorial.
The five techniques we’ll be going over are:
⁃ Rule of Thirds: Dividing your image into three horizontal and vertical sections in order to take photos that are most pleasing to the eye
⁃ Depth of Field: Using aperture and special objects to capture dynamic photos in places where it would be a lot more difficult
⁃ Leading Lines: Most commonly used in architecture or built environments, we make this possible in nature buy finding lines that make your subject stand out
⁃ Long Exposure: Despite all of the highly reflective snow, you can still use long exposure during the day to capture nature in motion
⁃ Aerial Photography: If you have the opportunity or the means, this can add very unique photos to your portfolio just to get a different perspective
As mentioned as well, I finally have my prints up on my website. Check them out and let me know what you think!

Your intro is too long bro
Thank you very much. More please
Love the vlog, big fan, what lens do you recommend for photo and video?
Good video but please stop “accidental accidents” other than that solid video

That was useful for me! 👍🏻

Can you please make a tut on taking/ editing pictures like on your Instagram to match the consistent theme? Thanks
This is so invaluable!
I bought a nikon d3400 with both the 18-55 and the 70-300 lenses….. I'm going on an Alaskan cruise and also whale watching… and i want to take not only great landscape photos,, but the whales and other wildlife…. are these lenses ok, or do i need a wide angle and/or a different lense….?? Please help… and if i do need other lenses, can you reccomend some?
Hello Alen, thanks for the tutorials. Where exactly are you located, I hear you talk of when you were in Alberta. I am asking because I am a Calgarian and would love to meet with you if it's possible.
that was fucking stupid bro, how your video started.
Cringy.
Amazing photos man
Its nice that you are making good vids! But please stop trying to be Peter Mckinnon! Just be you man! So many times which i noticed you were trying to act like him, for instance trying to make a personal relationship with audience as he does. But you are doing it in a creepy way! Just act natural!
the whole video is 08:30 long, BUT first 02:30 of it is just about 0 use. then it even gets worse because as I see it there is no continuity nor consistency . #1 rule of thirds + #2 DOF + #3 leading lines – these as you say "EPIC techniques" (?) are on the first page of any "photography for dummies" book! #4 Long exposure – here we jump to another level in terms of equipment and the last #5 Aereal photography is just out of scale even if compare to #4…
Really enjoying your photo's on Instagram. Found your channel as well. Hoping for some pointers from a pro. Keep grinding!
loved this!
Your intro is too long and boring. Great shots nonetheless, but they aren't intro worthy. Or maybe the music is just boring
Nice video , I like his stuff. He is very good but he doesnt need to do zall of the annoying stuff like pretending to fall over etc. He is great with out it, funny moments just happen. Dont force them
5:47 Warp Stabilizer 🙂
Love the intro
cool
Great video! Sorry to be off topic of your video but are you shooting on your 1dx for this entire video? Reason why I ask is I shoot video with a full frame Nikon D750 and it shoots amazing footage but when I export for Youtube the blacks look like shit. So, I guess my question is how do you export and upload to Youtube while still keeping really good quality? Anything over 80mb Youtube starts to compress like crazy. I believe I'm doing it correctly, is it that the 1DX shoots 4k or what?
Your video style is reminiscent of Peter Mckinnon's! Your videos are really helpful!
Very useful video!
