Peter wanted to learn how to photograph strangers on the streets – this is what happened…
Peter came from England over to Hamburg for one day to meet me and to learn how to photograph people on the streets. He came in January when it was cold, wet, dark and German was by any means not his mother language – so he mostly talked to the German people on the streets of Hamburg in English. In this Video I give you my experience with Peter and some snapshots I took while he was doing his thing. He got a little bit over 10 photoshoots within 4 hours in a foreign country with bad weather, cold and dirty weather. I wonder what will happen in summer when he picks up his Fuji XT3 and 56mm f1.2 and the weather is good, we’ll see how many shootings he will be able to accomplish.
I do this video to show you that anybody can do this – if you want it.

Vielen Dank für die Inspiration, sehr schön, das gibt Mut es auch mal auszuprobieren.
I met up with Dirkson! in Hamburg the last weekend of January. The day of the workshop it rained most of the day but my success rate was 70% and I did 10 shoots with single girls, two girls and couples. First image was taken at 12;22 and the final image was taken at 15;42 (with a couple of coffee stops in between). My main objective for the workshop was to shoot more couples and be more consistent with asking for shoots. My main language is English and I speak some German. The final three shoots were with couples and were done between 15;20 to 15;42 I've been shooting in London for a while but this experience really raised my game. Recommended.
