Do the extra megapixels on D850 tip the scale against the awesome auto-focus of the A9?

Not to sound like a broken record but loved this video. I learned something too, I was watching pelicans "eat" water like that and didn't realize they were filtering out tiny fish. I'm also wondering if you're going to try a TC on the Sony 100-400, it seems the 500mm you use is the perfect reach for your photos. One quick question, the photos hanging on your wall appear to be canvas prints with a wrap, any suggestions on places that do high quality printing on such media or do you do it in house. Thanks again for another great video, the kids here also enjoy watching and learning.

Hi Mark. Love your work. I think I appreciate the advantages of the D850 over the a9 that you might clarify for me. The ability of the d850’s 46 MPs and to be able to crop the photo to get closer and still have an acceptable 20 MPs of details. Eureka ! Best wildlife photography I’ve seen on YouTube . Thumbs up! Thanks.

What differentiate Mark from other pros is his ability to communicate. His story telling is amazing, vibrant, and unreal.

Sir, please mention the Exposure compensation also. I learned a great deal from you following that but in recent videos that is missing in EXIF. Also earlier you used to mention EXIF for all pictures but not any more. If you may stick to older style of having it in all!

Hey Mark I'm getting a Nikon D500 with the 200-500mm lens for my 18th birthday in march. Overall they cost £2200 on Panamoz. Is that a good deal as on Amazon it would be £2780?

Hi Mark! I think perhaps this is your best video yet. Mesmerizing video and stills and your trademark narrative style always improve the mood of any day. That being said, I can't thank you for the task of choosing a favourite image or sequence but I have to say the shot of the Osprey's approach with third lid engaged is a show stopper, although on second or third viewing I may have changed my mind (several times). Thanks so much for sharing the rewards of 7 hours in the Florida sun. Love what you do and all I learn watching how it is accomplished. Thanks for sharing!

Mark your content inspires me to not give up on BIF photography. Using the A7R3 and 100-400 GM with 1.4 TC I just haven't been able to get a shot that has the level of detail you pull. Awesome video!

    Pure poetry in motion!!!

Mark, your video as always, are superb! I want to say that it is my opinion that the D850 has something in the color profile that the Sony just does not. My D800 also has a bit more depth than my D850 and so I use that for landscape and even in doors depending on the situation OVER my D850. For a long time, I shot both Nikon and Sony (Sony is the best for video in my opinion and I still use Sony video cameras), but I started noticing that when developing the photos in Lightroom, I was trying to get the Sony color to look like the Nikon. Now for stills, I only shoot Nikon – D850, D750 or mostly D800 – tethered if doing portraits. I would compare it to is the difference between recording on 2" or all digital. Both work really well and have advantages over the other…… but the 2" magnetic has something that digital will never have. Sony is amazing and for video, top notch…. but Nikon has a depth the Sony does not. Even on YouTube, and maybe just to my eye, I can see it in your photos. Again, awesome video for sure!! 🙂

Several months back I was sitting on a bench at the lake where I live when a large shadow went past me. I looked up to see a Osprey flying about 15-20 feet above my head with a fish in his talons, then a much larger shadow went over me. I looked up to see a Bald Eagle chasing the Osprey with the fish. They glided down to about my eye level, on the other side of the small lake the Osprey dropped the fish in the lake and flew up high as the Eagle circled around looking for the fish.
I enjoy your videos and story telling, good video.
