Helly everyone, today’s episode is the final one from Taipei. In the last video I accidentally ended up in the red light district and I thought it might be a good idea to go back there and film the final episode. The camera of my choice is the Leica Q which allows me to be very discrete and to quickly grab the shots I am looking for. That place was a joy to shoot in, with plenty of unique characters. Doing street photography in a red light district can be a little problematic in some places in the world but In Taipei, it wasn’t a problem at all.

Hope you enjoy the episode! See you again soon!! πŸ‘Œ

I really don’t think I could do what you did in this video.

  8. Antonius Lecuona says

Street photography with a $4500 cameray is absurd to say the least. There's just something wrong with the numbers. The type of people looking at the images will never see the difference if you used a X100, actually, you can use a iPhone 5s like Koci (http://richardkocihernandez.com/) and it will be good enough.

    Hi!
How U are mounting Your gopro on Q?

  10. θ”‘δΎζž— says

Thanks for the beautiful pictures. Just wondering how you were able to trip the Q's shutter without people becoming annoyed having their pictures taken.

Cool video and comments. I love your high contrast style. Just subscribed.
Quick question, rather silly, but shooting my primary school-aged daughters when out and about (not portraits), would that be considered street photography ?

  14. Dragan Mikki says

Never mind Leica Q. These are great photographs! Well done.

  16. Drew Cunningham says

great work – I just bought my first Leica. It is just an M8 with a 40mm Voigtlander f1.7 lens…..I really like the punchy colors and also how the old CCD sensor renders black and white, I am finding it a bit difficult to get off quickly as I am new to the zone system and have always shot my street work previously with aperture priority on numerous Canon models going as far back as the AE1 right up to the 5d Mark III – I have moved to the fuji x system for professional work however, I really would like to make the move to the Leica Q from my M8 as I like working with a wider lens when on the street – the 28 summilux on the Q is just a fantastic lens….I think I will sell my M8 and one of my Mark IIIs and buy a used Q – love your work – some really great imagery!!! love the colors and how well it worked in low light – very impressive – sold me!!

This was really cool to watch, really great to get the video aspect of it too, instead of just a bunch of nice street shots, interesting to see the different reactions from people too.
I'm really wanting to get into more street photography, done one session so far which was really good fun, seeing the things people do when they don't know you're taking a picture, or just capturing something like a sneeze or a yawn, just telling the story of the day and the place.
    Love it! πŸ™‚

  22. Eddie K. says

Hi! Are you are at f1.7 and face detect? and 1/1000?

  23. Zhang SongYi says

HI,can you tell me what is the camera you mounted on Leica Q, thanks.

  24. Miley onDisney says

That's not really what I would call a red light district. Almost looked more like a senior center.Β In a real one, I don't think too many people would be happy about getting their picture taken. But you got some great shots. I like the ones where the people are looking elsewhere, then you get them just as they look at you.

  25. Isaac Ramirez says

What lens are you using? Like focal length and such.

  26. Joab Malibiran says

    omg i want this😒😱😨 i whish i have 😞

  27. John says

So fun. It’s like being there. Feeling the excitement and tension in some of the shots. Do u shoot from the hip or do u have a way to see the framing by lookin in from above?

  28. slickstealz says

I enjoyed your video and your photos. Can you comment on whether you are using the viewfinder or the back LCD display when shooting photos?

  29. tallaganda83 says
