Thanks for a tutorial which is just a tip of the iceberg than that :-), with high intensity i was waiting for your most vital recommendation – color check passport:-) , i would like to add in you tutorial: if you have low budget and you want to run this project don't be stingy for good quality lens, like highlight speed optics ( macro, property category – price can be 500-5000$ ), second you need DX or recommended FX Nikon DSLR . Nikon has a better dynamic range than Canon( recommend DSLR for a beginner not a pro like Ghotigy man his cam. cost i guess 1.500$ used for high-resolution prints). Beyond color checker, I would like to add a light meter, special if you want to get expected colors. Photoshop is good but is better if you can get good quality img RAW files with less edition on it. Noise reduction reduces detail – dynamic range, sharpening your photo give some noise on it etc. I use Nikon DSLR D700 FX ( recommending D810) Tamron&Nikon Tele, macro, portrait lens. Thanks a lot for Video Photigy !

with large oil painting or paintings with glossy vanish this doesn't work 😉

then you will use harder light, try to avoid dust, and use polarizing foil and filters. just finished a catalog for a painter with painting up to 200x300cm

This tabletop is really bad for this purpose. It is curved, becouse it's not stiff enough. Normal table should be much better.
