I'm sorry about the echo, but rest assured I'm on it! 👍🏻

  2. Ігор Нагнибіда says

James, i really enjoy you videos. i like that your videos got character (dont know if it makes sense) and that they are different from all those "cinematic B-roll" type of videos that have 120fps footage in them and that's all they have to offer. keep it up, mate!

  3. Garrett Yntema says

I love you bro for some reason. you have like a really good and natural vide when you film.

  4. Mathias Hansen says

I would say that the importance of the camera depends. I like to shoot in low light, and a camera with a sensitive big sensor helps a bunch imo.

  5. Adriana Gabriela says

Omg, I'd die of fear if my camera was 'floating' like that 🙈😂 although it does seem super handy! I'd definitely buy it if it didn't scare me 😂

  6. edmdeposit says

A printer? Nah, the inks are expensive as hell

  7. Tom Eden says

May I ask what you don't like about the Lowepro Protactic? The Mindshift ones looks interesting – what's you experience of it so far?

  8. Josh Bowers says

This is the first video I've watch of yours and so far you seem well funny the little comments about the shelfs 😂

  9. On the Shutter says

Glad I have came across your videos. Just uploaded my first video. Anyone that can go take a watch and leave a comment with feedback. I hope to create more in the future. 2019 goal so. Thanks!

  10. Divi Photos says

    Cool

  11. Emanuel Schimpfössl says

    Nice video! Got a sub

  12. Quinten Verniers says

What about regular bags with a camera insert? Just a little case that fits camera 1 to 2 lenses and memory cards. Put it on the backpack and voila!

  13. Doug Seidl says

Spend the money on an extra good tripod. Not that a $250 tripod will be terrible, but you'll be happier if you upgrade a bit. You don't have to go carbon fiber, just get something that's built like a tank. You're not likely going to ever replace a tripod unless it breaks. So, buy one that's going to last.

  14. Oliwier Gesla says

Amazing stuff man! There's a little part of me that doesn't want your channel to grow because I feel like I've found an early gem.

  15. timeSlidr says

    3. You talk about photography books that have GPS coordinates, photos, best time of day, etc. Is there any online resource similar to that?

  16. Tim Ljungstedt says

Love it dude! At the time when you made your analysis about the printer you had me smiling so hard and you just got yourself a like and a new subscriber my man! 🙂

  17. Ian Smissen Photography says

Another great vid James! I love the Mindshift 26L – had it for more than 18 months and put it through hell and it's like new 🙂

  18. Mike Johnson says

You should try the Atlas Athlete Pack, I swapped to it a year or so ago and it's finally close to perfect. Give it a go man!

  19. Matt Rutherford says

Hi James, for those who can’t afford a printer, which professional services do you recommend?

  20. genk ooger says

I will be sure to eat more meat, to make up for you.
    You are welcome.
All kidding aside, I watch your videos, for info on photography, not social justice. Cheers.

  21. cruzangyal_4C says

I don't remember the YouTuber, but with the waist strap, they use it to turn the bag around and access the camera stuff without the bag having to rest on the ground…I can't remember the brand of the bag, but it had waist straps and well, so maybe that can work with this?

  22. Dizzy Buizzy says

Your Video was so Exciting, that I Peed in my Pants!

  23. MrSonicAdvance says

My 12-35 f/2.8 Mk I is the best money I've ever spent on photographic equipment.

  24. M3ta7h3ad says

On the bag front I've suddenly become a huge fan of the bag inserts you can get. Turn my favourite backpack into a stealth camera bag. Generally they're pretty cheap to pick up and brilliant to try out, Amazon have a bunch.

Decide you don't like it, they make perfect lens cases for storage in the cupboard.

  25. Ozzy Paul says

I paid $89Aud for my 'metal clip' and bloody love it.

  26. HellbellyUK says

Completely agree on the "invest in lens" thing. I've got a Canon 17-55 2.8 that I've had at least 12 years, meanwhile I've gone through a 300D, 400D, 50D and 70D. Plus it works on my M5 with an adapter.

  27. jimmyfly says

If you’re in that office, who’s watching the grounds at Hogwarts?

  28. Aciimov says

Alternative analogy: Your camera is a Batman, your lens is his money

  29. Julian HG says

I love your new 'shared' Studio (Emily will still use it i'm sure!). May i ask you a completely unrelated question? when you shoot your video (i mainly use my m43 camera for video) what ISO do you have your camera at? i've only just started going manual ISO (as i was getting annoyed at the changes in overall frame brightness when the subject moves) and i'm still getting grainy images. Also for the shots to camera in your studio, are you using a prime? my pany leica 12-60 is great but i wonder if it's too slow for my current lighting set up (or maybe i need more lights?). Thank you, and interesting video as usual 🙂

  30. Grant Cogburn says

Prints have a higher resolution than a computer monitor, therefore more information. That's why they look better 🙂

  31. Jacquie Gaudet says

So have to add that the PD Capture Clip doesn't work so well if you're female and not tall. I bought one thinking it looked like a great solution compared to taking the backpack off, stowing the camera, and then getting it out again BUT I've been unable to find a comfortable place. I certainly could not mount the clip as low as you have, and higher—well, there's not much higher available. I tried the waist belt of my pack, but then my leg hits the lens with every stride. My camera isn't large as cameras go but my Olympus OM1-2 with my favourite Oly 12-100 lens isn't comfortably on the Capture Clip.
PS: I selected the camera body after choosing the lens. It just felt better in my hands than the other options.

  32. Pòl MacDhòmhnaill says

I moved into an house with built in wardrobes, they are great storage space for my film and digital equipment. The one problem I have is chemical storage and a sealed box or wall to store them, any ideas?

  33. Alexa Luisa says

New subscriber , borrowed the camera off my cousin since she doesn’t use it cause my budget is nowhere near owning one that way i can focus on spending money on more important things

  34. max million says

So then you have to take the clip off the camera bottom to put it on your tripod or you don't use a tripod..?? Either way, pain in the ass.

  35. Chapman says

For someone who isn't to the point of buying a printer, do you have a printing service you would recommend? There are plenty of options, just curious if you favor one over the rest?

  36. Shannon Kemp says

    too click baity

  37. YoSpiff says

Sure you can get rid of the waist strap. There's this great invention called scissors.

  38. Andy Green says

Nice video James, thank god ive already got the ProTactic 450 or you’d have cost me a fortune! Only £600 being spent because of you!!! 😂😂

  39. Lukas Kucian says

Hi James. I would like to ask you if you also have your laptop display calibrated? If yes how did you calibrate it? Thanks

  40. zach b says

I had the 3 ft Ikea Lack shelf mounted with WallDog screws and it held up my 50ish CD collection and stereo for years. It was a bit droopy so when I rearranged the room, I found a different place for my CDs.

I'd say as long you installed the hidden bracket well, you're fine with a few more books.

Thanks for the video. Have a good day 🙂

  41. Jessie Estella Brickley says

Watched this video, and I got to the bit where you mentioned that the prints were about to be shipped. Then the doorbell goes and it's the postie delivering my print. Don't you love it when that happens?

  42. Jeff Rendered says

making a big print of your image will humble you as a photographer real quick. there are images I swear I nailed focus…printed them out, and saw that i missed by a hair…it's unforgiving.

  43. danyal visuals says

    I got the g80 matie 😁🥰
