If you’re commenting to ask what camera I’d recommend for you, I suggest 5 different cameras that are all really awesome and fit into different budgets. Please check those out first! If you don’t want a DSLR, my number one recommendation is the Canon G7X Mark II.

Great video! I’m looking into buying a camera for photography. I’m a beginner and I don’t want to spend a ton of money on my first camera. Video quality doesn’t really matter to me. I want something that’s versatile. I’ll mostly be shooting stills and fun photoshoot portraits with friends, so I want something that has good bokeh and color. Once in a while I may use it for action or sports photography (but probably not very often). I’ve thought about both DSLRs and mirrorless cameras but am not sure what’s right for me.
