Photo camera traps in Democratic Republic of Congo
At the Fossey Fund’s field site in Nkuba-Biruwe in DRC, staff use photo camera traps to identify unhabituated Grauer’s gorillas and other biodiversity in the forest. When the photos are pieced together, they provide a glimpse of how the various animals move in the forest. A special thanks to The Turner Foundation and The Daniel K. Thorne Foundation.
Species shown in video:
Grauer’s gorilla, eastern chimpanzee, crested guineafowl, forest buffalo, yellow-backed duiker, marsh mongoose, red river hog, undetermined mongoose, blue duiker, owl-faced monkey, chequered elephant shrew and lowland bongo.
