Biggest secret to the best macro photography: Always lock your lens to the closest focusing distance and bring the object within focus in that distance. This cannot be understated as a tip, this can make or break macro photography. This allows you to get the maximum depth of field by placing the depth of field squarely at the front, giving you maximum depth of field along the subject, while also giving you maximum magnification. It also results in the best possible background blur.
The mistake most macro photographers make is to try to focus in the middle or at the end of the focusing system. This gives the worst bokeh characteristics, along with a sharp fall off to the depth of field, because depth of field is a zone with a slider. You focus in the middle or end of that slider, that zone ends up being clipped. Focus at the front though, and you get the whole depth of field behind the subject, which gives a more gradual fall off to depth of field rather than an abrupt fall off. Not to mention if you're focusing anywhere in the middle or end of the focusing system, you are simply not as close to your subject, so the subjects magnification will be less.
There's a lot of people who claim to be shooting 1:1 macro or greater, but if a lens is rated for 1:1, that's only at minimum focusing distance….any other distance, and you are not at 1:1 anymore, you might be at 0.5:1 even.

Unfortunately for me, I cant go faster than 1/200. Current camera Nikon D3200, researched and there is no setting to allow it to go faster with any flash engaged.
I will be upgrading to Nikon D850 soon enough, but it looks like entry level dslr's are gimped for macro =/.
I still have problems getting as good of pictures digitally as I used to get back in my 35mm days using a reversing ring, no tripod, freehand and just as raw as you can get. I think I still prefer film, and the control of it but the cost is silly and inconvenient now days.

So do you use some type of adaptor which converts a Nikon or Canon lens into E-Mount when using one of the mirrorless Sony cameras?
What is the limit/full switch for? I have a Nikon 105mm AF Micro Nikkor, but currently using a Sony AR7II and heard no adaptors offer AF yet for the Sony. It was loud and a bit slow on my Nikon D750 though, so I may just try and get better with MF.
