Hi, love your videos and the images, i use all Olympus gear and have done so for many years, back to the days of film( OM10-OM4 ) etc up to the modern day, the new series of pro glass lenses are excellent, can we ask that you change your music away from that thumpy loud type to some modern classical stuff with a bit of atmosphere to it, sorry for the moan, regards, Colin.

I'd rather brighter than darker. Also were the shots taken at full resolution like 4k and 80mp?

Put a great prime on your Olympus and make a large print. You will be surprised how good it is.

Couldn't watch this due to the aggressive music.

I am in the same situation, I take with me 5Dm4 and E-M1mii and on the end I use the Olympus about 70 to 80% and the rest the Canon.

Chris, Have really enjoyed this series so far. What do you think of High Def Mode for landscapes? I am particularly interested in your opinion as you are a tripod user.

Nice, but the music destroyed most of the video

Great images. Amazing what can be achieved with a small sensor! Very impressive. I would never have questioned it if you said they were produced on a full frame beast.

Richness of green and blue colours in an Olympus file is not due to in-camera cooking, but comes out of the lens designs for the M4/3. Smaller size allows lenses to include better grade glass at a lower cost, also much thinner elements than in a typical FF lens. Why this matters? Namely, in light absorption, by their nature silicon sensors absorb red light (R) more than green (G) and blue (B) light, but the glass generally attenuates higher energy blue light, much more than red. Red passes through, but blue hardly. With thicker elements and more of them stacked in the front, a typical sensor suffers from blue and green colour readout deficiency. But, if a lens has thinner elements of a better grade glass, less blue and green light attenuation happens, which means, more blue and more green light hits the sensor. Not only blues look richer, but also colours that neighbour the blue and green light bands: better purples, better cyans, better teals, overall better greens and yellows. This is all very important, not only in colour photography, but in B&W photography too. B&W thrives from better micro-contrast. More blue and more green light increase available micro-contrast, making the M4/3 an excellent platform for B&W photography (conversions).

I liked the colors it produced. Great pics.

I love the Em1 M-2 but must confess I don’t like the aspect ratio. Does the camera allow one to change the ratio to 3:2 instead of the native 4:2? If so, what if any loss of megapixels or sharpness occur with that ratio. Thank you, love the videos!

Great photo's and great choice of camera gear.

I love my EM1ii, along with my 12-100mm lens I can hand hold shots at sunset for 1-4 secs using my Nisi Nano Pro 1.5-5.5 variable filter. Great piece of kit. Nice video and photos too.

Hi Chris, Do you still have the Oly system and have you figured out some of the tweaks to get even better results out of it?

nice shots, were you normally shooting Canon FF? did you notice it to have as much latitude in DR in post? The music had to be muted after a while, kind of nerve wracking fyi.

Enjoyed the shots. I switched from Canon to Olympus 4 yrs ago. I shoot weddings, portrait, family, high volume sports, wildlife and landscape. I find the versatility of the Em1mkii to be nearly unrivaled. It’s certainly not perfect but it can do it all.

Lovely video but i had to watch it Mute, bad music, annoying and load

It doesn’t seem like shooting in HDR gives ANY useful information about the inherent dynamic range of the sensor so what exactly are we supposed to learn from this puff piece? Maybe if a viewer were to watch videos by D. Forss they might actually get some useful information about how to expose and process photos taken with a MFT camera. And actually see some amazing photos to boot. Granted, Forss is affiliated with Olympus but at least he shows some mastery of the advantages and limitations of the small sensor.
