I use to store little electronic things in plastic boxes and discovered: If a box is not opened for two or three years, some plastic and rubber parts are destroyed as shown in the video. Some kind of plastic and rubber are glued together after days.
science is incredible
btw what song is this?
I use acetone to get rid of styrofoam packing. With city's recycling plans… I.E giving you trash cans too small for the amount of
trash you generate.. the last thing I want to do is toss Styrofoam in the trash. I just break it up into chunks small enough to fit in the 40 gal drum, toss them in and it's all melted down in less than 10 mins.. Now if I can just find a way to get rid of the growing mountain of cardboard boxes.
Hi OP, this is great – do you have an email address I can contact you on about your videos?
How was the cleanup, and how did you clean the mess after the experiment? I thought this was a cool video to watch. :0
Have you thought about adding a clock to the corner of the video so people know how long some of these things are?
I'd love to see something like this only with methyl ethyl keytone instead. I work with a lot of acetone and MEK and have been trying to get my coworkers to take this stuff a little more seriously (spraying it in front of a fan, not wearing gloves). I'm definitely going to be showing a few of my coworkers this video. Who knows, perhaps this video will help prevent some health problems down the line for a few of these guys.
Watch it using YouTube's 2x speed. You can thank me later.
A shame they didn't let the whole thing melt. It was super relaxing to watch.
Also, what's the name of the music playing?
How long of a period time was this?
What's the song called?
